  1. Hey all

im looking at upgrading my plastics outfit and was looking at the Okuma V System Spinning reels in around VS-20 or VS-30.

and also matching it to a Okuma Celilo 6'6 to 6'10 rod.

anyone got any of these or used them? any feed back would be great.

    cheers all

    Hey Nargse1,

My flick stick for the flats is a celilo 6'6, 1-3kg. I can't rate it enough, I searched for a while and found it to be great value for money, seriously light and very sensitive. Go for it mate

  4. Hey Raiders,

Im heading up to the central coast to avoid the inevitable apec meeting, and plan to do some spinning for bream and flatties. One thing.... I don't have a clue where to start! Im based in Terrigal and will be fishing from the shore. Does anybody have a few hot spots they don't mind giving up? If need be pm me.

    Thanks for the help folks,

    Bobfish

no sign of life in the clear water

    peter :1fishing1:

Yeah, I had a poke around there this morning, I didn't even see a mullet, where are all the fish? Mabe they're pushing to the back with all the clear water..... will try again this arvo.

  6. Hey Nara regulars,

I hit the front flats for some small flatties, it was really hard yakka and had to run 2lb leader and finesse the hell out of some grubs to get them on. Hopefully its a better day tomorrow.

  7. Thanks kenmare and richie,

Fishing "blind" and deep, on the off chance that a fish will swim by and try to eat your fly, is hard work and soon becomes tedious.

Spot on right there mate, exactly what I needed to hear. Im gonna have to work on my patience first :biggrin2:

    Cheers,

    Bobfish

  9. Nice work ludrick,

You three guys were carving it up. I saw stylo n his mate in blue kayaks also, so that was 5 different raiders fishing the same strech of water! Its a small world after all (or a large fishraider!!)
