  1. Hey boys good looking photos and the fins wern't bad either, those kind of waters make me wish I was there with you, well done guys and heres to more fishing in calmer waters. Tight Knots Cindy.
  2. Hey Ceph that would be about when you would be asking yourself why did I want a new dog, at least one thing you shouldn't have any dental problems with him with all that flossing, in any case it's a cute puppy so how could you be mad with it with a face like that. Tight Knots Cindy.
  3. Your right carp do put up a good fight but that is the only thing they are good for, they are a nuisance to our waterways sucking up everything in their path and destroying the banks and truely I don't know how anybody can eat them, they are boney and there flesh is muddy, not that I have tried them but I have caught plenty of them over the years. I do know one thing they make great bait for saltwater fishing. Tight knots Cindy.

  6. I know were you are coming from I had all sorts of trouble with my photos until I donwloaded the free resize image software from the forum tutorial and with alittle help from a fellow member I have finally got it right. I resize them down to 360 by 240 and that seems to work for me you should try the software its good.
  7. We fish out of Kianinny every year around Easter and we happened to experience a change while we were out in 2006, the waves were worst than your pics and the jetty was well under water, it was as scary as hell as a boat had already been turned over trying to get back in I was thankful I had a captian who knew what he was doing and the only way you could get your boat on your trailer was with the help of the other fisherman standing in the water and holding it in position while I drove out, it always sticks in my mind every time we set out from there.
  8. You sure can and once again thanks heaps for a day out with your boat and not you, and I am sorry if I caused you any pain while I was having fun. LYH Cindy.
  9. We were using squid, prawns and pillies but personal for me I like to use a cocktail which means I use a hard bait with a soft bait at the same time on the same hook, I find that if at first you get abit of a touch first off and miss it there,s that chance that you still have enough bait left for a second chance, it just works for me. And I am not sure if this is early as this is the first time I have fished in Botany Bay. Cheers Cindy.
  10. Thanks James it certainly makes a day on the waters all worth while. Tight Knots Cindy.
  11. Hi All Now that I have finally worked out what I am doing I can send in my fishing reports. We have just came back from visiting my father in Campbelltown and while we where down there my brother aussiebigbob was kind enough to lend us his beautiful Cox Craft on Monday for a days fishing in Botany Bay. We were on the water around 6.30am and as usual the wind was blowing and the sea was choppy, but being our only day out we thought we would give it a try. We headed straight out and anchored up between the 2 heads, we hooked up on a couple of jackets, 2 rockcods, a snapper and a few unknown fish, around 9am the wind dropped and the sea settled so we motored out around near Cronulla Beach where we did several drifts picking up 38 flatties, and I might add we got quite a few around the 1/2m mark we were stoked. We then shifted over to the loading docks were we did abit of trawling and we managed to pick up 7 tailors which about that time we then decided to call it quits at around 3pm. So I would say we had a pretty good day out thanks to my brother and we had plenty of fish to share with family and friends. Cheers to aussiebigbob

  13. l Hi Flattieman First of all I just would like to say I really enjoy viewing fishraiders and I am glad you enjoyed the pics as much as I enjoy cacthing her, after all these years she seems like family and it wouldnt matter to me if the cray was male or female its like you said its one you dont come across to often so it seems fitting to release it.Bob is my brother and it was good to treat him to such a sight. Drop more lines and catch more fish. Cindy (Shark Hunter )
  14. Just remember to take it easy on me as this is my first post Just want to share our trip to Tarthra over a period of 10 days Our 1st day out was a shocker the sea was nasty. I have a pretty strong stomach but it made me give it up 3 times we stayed long enough to catch a feed for good Friday & then headed in. Saturday wasnt much better but if you were keen enough you could still get a catch, Sunday we were in early as my wife Cindy & I bagged out on flatties by 10.30am. Tuesday was the best day on the sea with it being calm & more how us fishers like it than after that the sea was rough but bearable. If anybody has gone out of Kianinny Bay in wild seas then they will know what a challenge it is to get back in, you need to watch, count & then go for your life unlike the poor family last easter who didnt know what they were doing & found themselves upside down in the water & there boat trashed on the rocks. We spent 1 day fishing at Eden which was good as you can get a better variety of fish but over all we came away with 185 flatties we bagged snappers, sweep, gurnards, aussie salmon, rock cod, tailor, jackets & shark so over all we had a good fishing trip so if you are brave enough to take on Kianinny you will enjoy the fishing. shark hunter.
