  2. Thanks Hodgey, and yes I have been lucky with the shrimp and also the flesh off the yabbie tail I did also try worms but they wern't such a good hit on the menu, although some of my friends have been using scrub worms with success. Cheers Cindy. Hi if you are referring to the slid on camper behind the boat it is a custom built camper which slids onto the back of our ute and then becomes free standing when set up similar to the Carry Me Campers made by the Candy's this way no matter where we go we can take our resting place and most of all the boat. Cheers Cindy.
  3. I know that area pretty well and most of the folks out there, who was your mate. Cheers Cindy.
  4. Hi Ross the river levels are still not good here, most of the time you can walk across the river in places it is a matter of looking for the deep holes to catch a fish. It is only high at the moment as they are doing inviromental flows, I will take some pics when the river is at its normal level and send them to you it will have your head shaking. And yes I would go fishing in extrem hot weather as I love the summer and there is always a tall cool redgum to seek some shade from. Cheers Cindy.
  5. Glen yellowbelly are good to eat at the right times, at the moment they are on the run so they are nice and lean and there flesh is clean, sometime if you catch them in dams they can be abit fatty and have a muddy taste to them. If you get a chance you should give freshwater fish a try you will be quite pleased. Cheers Cindy.
  6. Hi Guys haven't put a report in for awhile so I thought I would share this one with you. Went down to Tathra at the beginning of the month for a week hoping to get some fishing in but the weather was a shocker if it wasn't raining it was blowing a gale , so we only got to get the boat wet once although we did get to do some good whale watching. On our arrival back home to the Riverina we were greeted with a high river so not wasting any time we sunk the tinny into the river and tried our luck. On our first day we caught nothing but Murry Cod which of cause all went back and it is nice to see our river alive with cod again, we would have caught up to 20 of all different sizes. We hit the river the next day deciding to put a full day in with a B.B.Q lunch and drinks on the banks of the river and with a change of luck bagging out on Golden Perch or better known as yellowbelly it sure made our day .Cheers Cindy.
  7. Hey Bob if you dont do any good with that monster on the Marlin you can always bring it down here and we can try it in the river and see if we can entice a great a Murrycod out of his hole or better still just sit around and share a cold
  8. Hey Robbielites he wasn't wrong, very clever.
  9. Hi Ray yes we do get the Murrycod in our river we also get Golden and Silver Perch, sometimes Redfin and not forgeting the rotton Carp. Here are a few pics of earlier catches. Cheers Cindy.
  10. Hi Guys just thought I would show you the view from my kitchen window, I live right on the banks of the Murrumbidgee river and with a view like this it makes dish washing an enjoyment. Also it is the crayfish season here so we have been enjoying sitting by the fire eating crays and following them down with a ice cold beer. Cheers Cindy.
  11. Hey Bob Its nice to see she has finally arrived, she looks like something to boast about, will be down within 2 weeks so hope to get on board and wet a line with you. Tight Knots Cindy.
  12. I agree keep them coming, I never get sick of looking at photo's and sceneries such as these. Also a big thanks to Ross and Bob for your help with passing them on to my daughter I would be lost without you both. Tight Knots Cindy.
  13. They were so good I spent most of my time scrolling down saying, " oh look at that " that was most enjoyable, I sure would have liked to send it to my daughter but not sure if it is possible or even how to do it anyway great viewing. Tight Knots Cindy.
  14. Hey Guys we have been useing one of these ovens for years now and they are great, you can put anything in them from pies, bacon and egg rolls to left overs from the night before. Not only do we use ours on the boat we use it for when we are travelling, we premake our bacon and egg rolls or our lunch in foil trays and heat it as we travell. Not only do you get a better and cleaner meal the saving on takeaways or eatins are amazing, well worth there money. Cheers Cindy.
  15. Hi raider Was just wondering if there where any raiders going to the boating and fishing auction tomorrow at campsie cheers cindy
  16. Hi Jewgaffer The crayfish season hasn't started as yet but yes we do,as I said before the river is just a walk down the bank from my backdoor so we would get a couple of feeds a week throughout the season which runs over four months cant ask for much more than that. Tight Knots Cindy.
  17. Hi Guys just a quick report, after just spending a week fishing in the saltwater we gave the fresh water a try this weekend. Just stepped out of our backdoor and into the Murrumbidgee river on the Saturday afternoon for about an hour and a half to pick up this 45cm Murry cod but lucky for him he got to swim again, headed out again on Sunday morning for a few hours to come up trumps with these two golden perch, hubby picked them up by throwing in around the snags with a spinnerbait so it looks like we are having frash fish for dinner tonight. Sorry pics are not to good only had our phone. Tight Knots Cindy.
  18. Hey Bob although I found that alittle funny hubby said lucky you didn't join us as we would have needed three times that amount. Tight Knots Cindy.
  19. Very clever Braidbuster 10 points to you Cheers Cindy.
  20. Your right Bob they do run a fishing comp out of Kianinny every Easter and Christmas, its just a small comp and abit of a fund raiser for the fishing club but nevertheless it runs over two days and you get a feed and a beer for your entry. As usual we did enter the comp and after four years I was able to claim a prize with the gummy, I kept the money while hubbie got the five dozon oysters lucky me.
  21. No Lasty if you had read on we caught 10 different varitities of fish not to mention the throw backs or bait fish such as pikes, mavkerals, sergeant bakers, wrasse and all those other none keeping reef fish but at the end of the day there is nothing wrong with just catching only flathead just as long as you are enjoying yourself. Cheers Cindy.
  22. Hi Guys I thought I would just fill you in on our annual Easter trip to Tartha. We headed out of Kianinny on good Friday we had a late start as they were forcasting crappy weather but we set of anyway just hoping to catch a fresh feed for the day which we did, they were only flathead but they were all around the 50cm plus and I must say they are one of my favorite saltwater fish. Headed out the next day to calm waters but a cold and wet day but to our surprise catching a varitity of fish even bagging out on some but for me the catch of the day was this metre 30, 8.3kilo gummy shark, caught it in around the deapth of 30mt and it faught all the way up for around 20min it was well worth waiting out the bad weather. We continued to fish out of Kianinny Sun, Mon, Thur, Fri catching flathead, gurnard, leatherjackets, flounder, rock cod, sweep, morwong, salmon, snapper and all those crappy fish you either throw back or use for bait I even got onto the kingies but failed to get one in the boat but the fight was fun. We went out of Eden on Wed and headed down to Disaster Bay it was my first time down there as the name was offputting but the fishing was great so all in all the fishing trip was good caught plenty of fish for family and friends and had a good time doing it. You should try fishing out of Kianinny its great I have tried to talk my brother into coming with us but he has seen photos of Kianinny at its worst and he just won't be in it but I will keep trying. Tight Knots Cindy.

    Any Idea

Hi Guys I caught this pretty little fella a few weeks ago whilst fishing out of Eden, we have caught them before admiring its colour before letting it go and still not knowing what kind of fish it was. Sorry the pic is not all that clear but maybe someone out there can help. Tight Knots Cindy.
  24. Thanks Flightmanger what would I do without you.
  25. Hi Guys sorry this report is coming in alittle late but here it is. We took a trip out to Tartha on Dec 27th to do a weeks fishing, now I know the forcast wasn't good but it was the only time our daughter Sarah could get away. We set out of Kianinny on Friday the 28th to pretty ordinary seas but we travelled that far to fish and fish we did. Well we copped it hard, we got thumped, we got wet, we got sunburnt and poor Sarah got sick supplying us with burley every day she went out but we got fish. For our week of persevering the rough seas sent to us from that rotton weather from Qld we managed to bag around 90 fish of different variety from flathead, morwong, leatherjacket, snapper, nanigi, rockcod and tailor so all in all it wasn't too bad.And when we wern't fishing we did the tourist thing and although Sarah's first fish wasn't a big one and she wasn't all that seaworthy she stuck it out. We headed back out to the riverina to hit the Murrumbidgee for a few days and came up with a couple of nice murrycods. And we saw this great ray at Bermagui while sight seeing. Sorry guys dont know what I did wrong there should have been 1 pic of Sarah these two and then one of the ray.
