    fuel tank

Hi bud Option 1 Very easy to do your self just drain all the fuel out put a litre of metho in the tank swirl it around as hard as you can then tip it out put the tank in a warm area but not directly in the sun the metho will evaporate then put 500ml of clean fuel in twirl it around and pore it back in to a clean container have a look at the fuel if it has no rubbish in it you are done . option 2 Go to super cheap and you can get a additive that you put in the tank all you need to do is fill the tank to top and add it breaks down any water or small particles in the tank. Recommend option one very safe and easy to do only takes one hour Regards Ritchie

The locals have been catching up to twenty kings per section but only able to land one or two due to amount of seals in the area . Just wondering if any one knows where to catch squid land base down here need some bait for next week . Will try to post some photos from the weight bridge tomorrow Regards Richard

  12. Ant That was me.I was on the harbour and the police boat told me that i required a licence if my boat was cable of going over 10 knots and i told him i was under the impression that it was only if you traveled ten knots or more .I guess i did knot get a ticket so therefore he must of been wrong Richard
  13. Hi all Headed out to middle harbour on wednesday for a fish was unsure if it was a good idea due to the poor weather , Got to rose bay at 4pm and went straight to the bait grounds for live bait could not get the bait to rise after 20 mins was just about to give up and they appeared . but very shy to eat so had no luck there so move to clifton gardens with some fresh squid and live prawns, only caught some large bream and two good size flatheads .it got very quite and by then there was six boats around me decide to move closer to rose bay . Got to the markers out the front of rose bay and anchored in front fished for a hour andin the hour we caught several tailor and some legal size bream with only a few pieaces of bait left we caught this It was 65 cm long it was the first legal jewfish for 2009 on my boat so took some photos and relased him to swim another day . As we were leaveing we got a vist from the water police he ask us to move he said that you are not aloud to anchor any where in the channel from gladsville to manly this is the first i have heard of it , i was aware of the harbour bridge rule but never heard of the channel rule . he then ask for my boat licence i told him i did not need one unless i travel ten knots he told me i was wrong and that if the vessel was capable of doing more then ten knots you must get one , I came home and checked the nsw martime rules it states you only get a licences if you travel over ten knots . any way i since have paid for a licence and now awaiting for my test . Watch out next time you go out Richard

  17. All the same not much different between hyams and vincentia you are talking about five or ten minutes cheers richard
  18. Hi jack I stay at vicentia all the time the ramp is ok but it is a rock ramp with only little concrete on it . If the wind is from the east you will have lots of problems but anything from the south is ok . if your happy to get a little wet the ramp will be ok , the only reason i dont use that ramp is that it has no cover and is a good boat ride to the heads. Murrays boat ramp is only 15 mins away and is much better and safer to use.plus it is only a five min boat ride to the heads . cheers Richard
  19. I just bought a new hds-7 from the states it cost me $1042 delivered to my door . I rang lowerance and they would warrant the unit in australia as long as i send the warranty card to them with the reciept . For that price i would recommend the hds-7 for sure .
