  1. A guy that was sitting next to me on Saturday night at the fights caught three on Saturday afternoon at 2pm on the way home he was fishing north east of heatons after fishing from 430am decide to come in due to low fuel and while heading in three out four rods goes off lost one landed two one was 83kg and one was 47kg his first ever bluefin I think he showed ever single table the photos . If you Fb David Harriman he caught a few on Friday one went 103kg in a 5.5m point break hydro field . He now has the CCGFC record the guy that told me about it said he was fishing north east of Norah heads canyons but very far out not sure if the last bit was true
  2. The best way is to get a flying gaff tie it to the back of the boat and gaff it and drive off leaving the shark a good four or five meters away from the boat the fish will drown very quickly then just put a tail rope on it and leave it out the back and toe it home best and easiest way with out hurting you or your boat
  3. Fishing next to the Rosebay in close saw a few chasing my light last week
  4. Two part bond stick or you can use two part arildite . I went to my local welding guy at seven hills and prepared him at small a aluminum L bracket and he welded it for me for $25.00 it took him three minutes

  9. They take a small white glow white steel lure in 5 grams size
  10. Went out on Thursday at 630pm stop at balmoral pick up some yakkas and when to several spots for no luck decide to drive over to Clifton on the way we saw massive boils in the water and hundreds of birds chasing the schools decided to stop and have a go as soon as we started casting several boats decided to drive straight down the middle of the schools so instead of getting angry we decided to come back to middle harbour and fish for some eating fish as soon as we turned into the cove of balmoral there was several different schools of fish busting up so we started doing a drift, casting soft plastics and metal lures nearly every cast we hooked up it was the best fishing session we have had in a while . The Salmon were at least 5 to 6 kg 700mm long the largest went 855mm we only kept one and the tailor were 500mm long we only kept three little ones for bait . Also caught several large silver trevs and two small rats kings. We watched a guy with a fly rod hook up several large salmon which looked a heap of fun .it took him several minutes to land each one . We even had ET boats chasing the same school . The best part about it was that every body knew what to do, drift from one side to the other and then drive around again . I must have lost at least 5 lures on 6 pound line chasing those big salmon expensive day but well worth it . We ended finishing the night in middle harbour but could not get past all the yellowtail and the big slimes in the harbour
  11. That is amazing has to be the biggest for Sydney this year
  12. Nice work Heading out tonight let you know how I go Ritchie
  13. Did you catch the Slimes in or outdside the harbour? Ritchie
  14. I made sure i did not run it near any power cables . I might have to sit at home and have a play on it . Dhype you can't tell somebody that just bought a expensive toy that you bought the wrong toy. You just have to pretend and tell me that is was the right choice. (lol) May be the next boat might have furno gear installed. Ritchie
  15. Stayed there till 7 had the yellowtail on the bigger gear had some small runs must be sambos or tailors might go for a run on thursday if weather is ok do you know how to get rid of the vertical skated lines ? Regards Ritchie
  16. Headed to botany bay first time at foresure drive boat ramp very impressed. went straight to the bait grounds caught a dozen good size yellow tails it was getting late so decide on not trieing for squid . Headed over to kurnell bump it to quintrex 480 such a nice guy full of knoweldge .(nice to meet you mate) Armed with Yellow tail fresh squid strips thanks to quintrex 480 prawns and pilles . started to sound over some areas and saw this . so started to fish with all four baits down lost several yellowtail due to no stinger hook ended hooking in to some of these guys even though were all small all good fun on bream gear with pealed prawns. Might get there a little early next time and have another shot Ritchie
  17. Husky ramp is a two min drive perfect for a tinny . Leave the ramp and got to the right and follow the shore line there is hundreds of meters of kelp you can catch squid very common to get a dozen in no time then keeping going till you get to Vincetia rowing club (about 800 meters ) away you will see a boundary marker for the marine park burley up for yakkas . Then keeping driving to your right you will see A point about two ks away it's called plantation point there is a marker that indicates you are out of the marine zone burley up in front of the white marker and fish for kings up high and table fish down low (bream ,flathead whiting) great place to fish . Very calm great for tinny . If it's to rough go to old erowal bay boat ramp at st George's basin leave the ramp and drift to right as far as you can stay in 6 to 7 meters of water you should bag out on flatheads Your a lucky man the bay has so many options so there is always a chance to fish . Hope this helps Ritchie
  18. Yes I did can't upload off the iPad but will have to use the pc photos coming soon

  20. Hi Guys Went out at 430 pm on Friday forgot that Roseville ramp was closed so went to tunks park for the first time very nice ramp . Got to the bait ground and got a dozen yakkas at 50mm long perfect size in five mins so headed just short of north head trieng to find the wreck had no luck so headed in a bit and anchored up got ten bream two snapper one going 40cm long kept getting bitten off by large tailor our dozen yellow tail were gone in a very short time . Came back in at 630 pm and fished middle harbour for four more bream ,whiting and the surprise catch a 60cm blue tail treavally it pulled like a freight train it took several minutes on 8 pound line . First time ever seen one in these waters It was a good night back at nine .sorry about picture quality i will post a better photo when i defrost it . Just wondering does any one have the wreck Gps marks west of north head ? (forget what the wreck is called ) Regards Ritchie
  21. Nice fish norm We will have go out all together with Eddie one day soon . Regards Ritchie
  22. I think it was a day that all keen fisho just dont go out and let all the fishermen that only get a chance to go out once or twice a year a go . It took me over 45 mins in the cue to put the Boat back on the trailer at 12pm . There was a guy with a massive 6m fiberglass boat that was pretty old and heavy that back his car in to far (xr8 falcon with slicks ) that refuse to take the boat 5off and drive a little forward so he just sat there wheel spinning left to right for a hour so that was one lane closed . I got backed to car to find my which handle disappeared and the bolt and nut screwed off with a shiifter left behind as a present of good gesture . (Not a big problem because we drive on and off ) Next public holiday I will listen to my wife and stay home and not be so greedy . A few bream bonito and Taylor caught as a small consolation for our troubles Friday 13th of April Fished Sydney harbor got there at 5 pm first cast my friend hooks a nice bream the next ten minutes he hooks five bream smallest going 32cm biggest 41 cm and I still have not casted a line . Thank god the bite goes quite I finally get a cast in the next two hours catch 4 legal bream one legal snapper by then it was dark and we had issues with the lights on the boat So headed in back home at 830pm pretty good section for a few hours fishing . Hope to be out on Monday I will let you know how I go . Ritchie
