  3. Definatelty should be enetered in the catch of the month. A true beast of the ocean!!
  4. Awesome pics there, you guys really captured the mood of what it would have felt like to be brining in Kingies while theres a storming brewing. Absolutely fantastic!!
  5. Great effort, congrats on getting your first jew. Its a nice size too
  6. JFK, was great to see your handy work with the rod yesterday arvo but i must admit the guy with the net was an absolute legend Most of the kingies we've caught have been after dark in botany bay, there are a couple of places in the bay where they seem to congregate in the evenings, works well for us since we're at work 6 days a week during the day.
  7. When out with fellow raider Jewfish King early sunday morning in search of Mr Jewfish Kings first kingy, things started out badly when we hit spot 1 in the bay, too rough and we were both starting to feel a little queezy so we headed further inside the bay to spot 2. Spot 2 was alot calmer but the action was very slow, only managed 1 just legal bream, then about half an hour after sunrise one of my rods start to cream after a battle that lasted a few minutes bang, my 40 pound trace is snapped....SPEWING!!!! We only had to wait a couple of minutes for Mr Jewfish Kings rod to go off next, another brief battles ensues, one which Mr JF King has felt before. After several attempts at netting the evasive bugger a 65cm model is boated and Mr JF King a a kingfish virgin no more. No more than five minutes laster Mr JF Kings second rods begins to sing, this time the Kingy wins, busts him off with 30 seconds. After that all went quiet so we packed it up, and Mr JF King couldnt stop smiling. Ive added a pic im sure Mr JF King will frame and mount in his living room shortly.
  8. congrats on a great haul, is it just me or is the georges really improving in fish numbers latley????

    Bag Limits

i think you'll find most people will take a pic and then release the breeders
  10. yeh, from my experience they are never on during the change in tide nor when the tides are extreme, baits, location all play a role...gets abit fustrating sometimes but its all worth it when you hook one.
  11. Hi Livo, Ive asked Mr Jewfish King to leave the report writing to me from now on, he's a great fisherman but his report writing skills leave alot to be desired. We initially headed for Juno Point but as we got closer it was obvious that the conditions were going to be too rough so we did a uturn and headed inland a little further. Almost all the fish were caught within the space of an hour and a half, what looked like it may be a lousy day considering the weather turned out to be a brilliant day.
  12. i think most of us have had a similar experience of missing that big one, suppose its part of the addiction of fishing and what drives us to keep fishing....my condolences......

  22. My second post, had some luck on sunday morning fishing with a friend in between the bridges in the georges. all fish were caught with fresh squid and all caught within the space of an hour including the biggest bream ive ever seen, came in at well over 50cm!! we dropped another 2 jewies during this hour too. Hope the picture is ok, it was taken off a mobile phone.
