  1. Looks like you had a fantastic session in the end! Must of filled up the ice boxes of board and crew had a great work out.
  2. ACMA have produced a good video some time ago for the recreational boaters. Its a good start to get some info if you are just starting out. You never know you may need it one day to save your own life or other boaters at sea.
  3. Pickles, you did it again and I was sort of expecting another post! looks like you guys had a ball and the weather was good to you. Happy to take a master class with you one day.
  4. Correct, We are not going to need a bigger boat, Two will do fine.
  5. Well done on the recruitment as our youngster need all the help they can get to let go of their devices, Also looks like you had a lot of action to keep them busy.
  6. No I was on lazy weekend away with no fishing, accept for stalking the cleaning table@! I was there with my boys and wife "Greg - Triple G". Hope it all makes sense now.
  7. Thanks All, Definitely a lot of good info and hours off reading material on here which has already been put into practice! It was only a lazy weekend away with family and no boating involved. I am not game to use this ramp and agree with you not liking it! My parents are retiring in Terrigal so I may take up your offer. Thanks again.
  8. Hey FHL, The bottle of water you used with the small esky now makes sense as you never did use the freshwater taps at the cleaning tables! Honestly, I thought it was a bit weird as most fishos there were rinsing and washing their catch with tap water. Then I remembered when I was kid on camping down South at Kioloa Beach, We were always told and taught this method by the locals to only rinse your fillets with salt water. However It was a lot easier there to rinse as the rusted fillet table was basically concreted into the rock and not accessible at the high tide mark! The photo definitely shows the end result and quality of the fish.
  9. Hi All, Introducing myself as Greg from Sydney. Finally signed up as a member after reading lots great info on here in the past 12 months as a sleeper. Purchased the boat 18months ago, mainly to get my No12 and No14 boys off their phones and IPads! Yes there is a life without these devices. Novice fishermen we are with a PB/best catch so far a 55cm King, perhaps by chance or luck! Our 1st goal is to catch our first legal King! I mainly fish out from Botany Bay and occasionally Sydney Harbour. This long weekend I managed to meet by chance 2 x Fishraider’s at Terrigal’s cleaning table without my boat! Hopefully more FR to follow. Cheers Greg.
  10. Fishraider now Pickles! It was a pleasure to meet you after reading your many Kingfish posts on here as a visitor. I guess it was by chance or destiny as I was on a weekend away without my boat and hanging around the fish tables checking out everyone’s catch. Including yours FHL, I was the one asking you what the Trag was called as I was not sure what it was! Boat purchased late last year and not much fishing experience! After you left I just asked Bob, “your not the guy on FRaider who catches all the Kings are you”? Pickles he answered back, Then he says that he usually don’t Fish Terrigal. No boat, but I managed to catchup with 2 x Fishraiders! It was a pleasure to meet you two Gentlemen indeed.
