  1. Hey mate, I've got a far bit of rock fishing experience, mainly for bonnies and sambos in summer and autumn though not particularly for drummer. Can gladly say I've never had any troubles, but agree %100 with what you said about hill 60. I avoid large exposed rock platforms like hill 60 for fishing for obvious reasons, and if I ever do fish there I observe the swell and wear a life jacket
  2. Hey Derek, I'm down south coast way actually, which is sometimes irritating because near my location the closest decent fishable estuary is at least 1/2hr away, bit to far for fishing after work. Throughout summer I hammered nearby little beach creek run-ins and lagoons with little plastics and though they fish better than I expected, most of the flatties and bream are under 20cm!. I checked out a zodias in the local store and while I loved its lightness, I decided that I can't justify 300 bucks for it. Any other rods that are within $200, I'm free to suggestions... will check out the daiwa td range instore tomorrow, couldn't make it there today
  3. My mate and I have freezers full of royal reds for our next session! Now just need to get out there and explore
  4. Thanks everyone, the cunji spot is actually below a jetty, and only seems to hold smaller drummer, I have nailed a few in the past, and have seen many a pig whilst snorkelling, but everywhere I snorkell is usually impractical for fishing😂
  5. Hey guys, this winter I'm looking to get into drummer fishing a bit more, and was wondering for some spots around Wollongong, I've got a decent spot for weed and cunji but now just need to find the drummer. I have got a few drummer spots but there a little to far to drive to for an arvo's fishing Thanks
  6. Thanks for the advice, been fishing for a few years with lures now and and looking to upgrade to more quality gear, just want something light and that won't break the bank, open to any further suggestions on rods that aren't to expensive
  7. Thanks mate, will head in store tomorrow and check out the rods. Bit hesitant with the zodias, only want to spend Max 200 and wanting something light for throwing plastics. What are the daiwa rods you mentioned like in regards to weight compared to the zodias?
  8. Thx guys, does anyone know about the lightness of the arrowz?
  9. Hey guys In need of a new bream and flattie rod Looking for a new light rod to pair either with stradic fl or vanford. Was thinking a zodias but have heard good things about the atomic arrowz, and wonder if it will do the job as well at half the price Thanks
