Thanks for the comments guys, Unfortunately Greg i wasnt able to source enough weed for burleying, but i will take your advice and find some more weed so i can burley as you described. Just had a quick go at the blackfish in the georges river under captain cook bridge. Unfortunately no fish to report which is a little dissapointing after seeing other good fish come out of the river recently on this website. Im not sure about you guys but i am also finding the weed hard to come by at the moment, i could only gather a handful of short stuff for a session, but regardless i didnt lose a bait. This is my first fishing report on this website, and the point of this post was to thank other people that reported their success with blackfishing on this website, which inspired me to take up this enjoyable form of fishing.

I think a guide up on the cape does this very type of conversion, and from the pics ive seen they look good. I have never seen them in the flesh but i would think someone would have more info on them and how he went about doing it. Good luck.

What do you guys think of these hooks? I don't think they are too bad but have never caught anything large on one so i am interested to hear what you guys have to say about them..
