you can try Clifton Gardens near Mosman for a land based fish. It is a long jetty, has a swimming enclosure, toilets and BBQ facilities for a great day out. You wont leave here without having caught even one fish... The only ting is that it can get crowded at times as it is very popular to fish from. Goodluck!

Instead of putting him away, they should fine him and with that money he should serve a minimum of 500hrs of community service whereby he goes about helping reproduce in the lake what he had taken. For example, cleaning up rubbish and other helpful measures.. By just sending him to jail you're not fixing the problem... but rather just covering it with a band aid.. and I'm sure that if it was YOU who was caught doing such a thing YOU wouldn't want to go to jail for a year or more because you were illegally netting .. Jesus.. imagine what people in jail would think of you.. they'd push you around more often just because you are a sheer idiot..haha Justice should be served with reproducing what has been taken not by taking away the actual problem.How do you know his little son won't go out tonight to set another net up so he can keep the family's head above water? Just put yourself in their shoes... God knows why he was doing such a stupid thing and it was just to his bad luck that he was caught.

the kingfish aren't really around there anymore and is why you're not catching em.. im not too sure of the samsons coz ive never heard of them being caught there but the leatheries are plentiful there along with yakkas lol thats all you're gna get this time of year along with the trevors here n there.. wait til summer for the kings n use well presented fresh squid to attract them.. you can try n catch squid at clifton but its really hard as there arent many left due to overfishing in that area.. good luck!
