2 chains are only needed on heavier trailers, my mini excavator trailer has a gvm of 3ooo kg and by law the 2 safety chains must be crisscrossed the idea being that if the trailer was to come of the towball the chains could cradle the trailer.

I put mine out about 25 metres, the length of rope is cut to this length with a loop on the end which fit nicely onto the back quarter cleat of my plate ally boat. Check the strength of the cleat if it is a fibreglass boat.

I voted Didn"t it used to be that all Aussies owned the coast & river systems. I dont think this as changed therefore we should be allowed to recreational line fish where ever we please as long as we stick to the bag & size limits. I believe the Americans can rec fish where ever they like be it marine park santuary zone or what ever How can a state government change our federal constitutional rights.
