  1. Hey Marfoir

    Welcome to FR. :1welcomeani:

Damn good looking squiddy you got there.

Even if you posted a 4 inch squid would make no difference to people on this site.

All here is good and all are interested in your posts irrelevent of size species or comments etc etc.

    Cheers

  2. Hey Imick.

No monkey's tune here for me, just monkey buisness :tease::tease::tease:

For me the irrefutable fact is that the skipper has 20 foot of whale above him to his left and he is still looking forward.

No bannana for this monkey buisness.:banana::banana:

    Cheers

  3. Hey guys

    Agree with Slinky!

    Its bulls***T.

    1. Now just how did a person on a boat behind this manage to snap such a clear shot in 0.025 of a sec or even think to do so.

    2. See second (after) shot which is no where near the same quality. One would imagine same camera etc etc taken secs after would have to be reasonably the same. Note after shot theoretically shows where the whale re-entered the water behind the boat.

    3. See hill profile in the distance in before and after shots. Its different, let alone a tanker in the after shot.

    4. Approx 50 tons of whale falling vertically from 20 foot up onto a boat of that size = 2 parts of same boat rapidly sinking.

And Boom Boom wait for it, the real clincher:-

    5. The skipper in red is still facing forward! even though he has approx 20 foot of whale towering over him to his left and just about to smash him into Davy Jones locker.

No bannana for this guy Slinky would you agree agree :banana::banana: eh eh

    Cheers

  4. Hey FR's

Bull sharks are the most aggressive and competitive shark species around. Estuarine is their main dangerous habitat.

They will eat anything and can/will hunt in a pack, and they love murky waters.

Hence nearly all the shark attacks on the eastern seaboard are by them.

There are even drawings of them from the first fleet days when they attacked dory's showing occupants beating them off with oars.

I have seen them at Milperra Chipping Norton Harbour Parra River etc.

Used to do inspections at the Warwick Farm stables and yes there were reports of horses taken, and my mate lived overlooking Hen and Chicken Bay and commented many times on the poor doggies that were taken when swimming.

Do not think for one moment that they are not there, they ARE there and they are always there. Its their home.

That's also why all the harbour and other areas have netted bathing areas.

Lake Mac guys be aware since the Pro ban they do not get caught in their nets and they are back in the Lake.

Always remember going down to the Mannering Park fish Co-op as a kid when the fisho's got a shark in the net. They did the axe thing on them.

One should never ever swim or be immersed (ie ski ) in waters of Harbour Georges and Parra River its just a absolute no no.

People who do so are suffering the modern day syndrome of ignorance and "it won't happen to me".

Would I swim in any of these areas = not for a million bucks.

Note also that sharks will enter upper fresh water areas of rivers for periods of time so as to help cleanse barnacles and other sea growths from their skin, they also love chasing mullet in these areas.

Hope I have scared all enough not to swim in these areas as the danger is very very real.

Good news, bull shark fishers go for it :thumbup::thumbup:

    Cheers

  6. Hey Scaffsta

With Joco,s report was trying to lead him to the fact that the FR record is at 88cm as its a damn good fish.

Suggest you do not be lazy, post a report so all FR can enjoy the how and when and reckon you will have the record at 120cm easily.

Subject to the Big Kahuna's blessing of course (ie Slinky).

    PS 120 cm brilliant.

  7. Hey Hamu

A mans gotta think ahead here.

    1. 4.30 start with missus means you get that one day fishing and she begrudes you forever more.

    2. Now if you do option B being breakfast and the fish markets, you get a great day, great feed and after you ply her with copious amonts of wine at lunch, get her to agree with you that you are such a wonderful hubby that you deserve 3 future fishing trips as browny points.

    Always works for me :thumbup::biggrin2::thumbup:

    Cheers
