We are taking out 2 boats this saturday leaving from roseville @ about 530 - 6am hoping to get amonst the kings anyone else going out?? Can stay in touch if you want...

Your right, got a little excited writing the report.... was a unreal fight the 40lb braid & 60lb leader got put to the test and passed......

All on yellowtail mate....

Raiders, Looked at the weather reports and was about to pull the pin the night before but my cuz was determined to get me out. So we did it launched at roseville and went to a reliable yellowtail location. We managed about 20 or so then decided to troll north head.. Had 2 rods out 1 on the downrigger and 1 on the surface Soon after setting the baits strike on the surface 1st fish landed 60cm throwback I thought sweet we have found the bait school we concentrated our troll to this area doing circles. Then it went 65cm keeper, 70cm, 65, then 60 throwback then a run we couldnt stop i thought we were goinig to get spooled... then my cuz lands a 95cm Hoodlum (Alll on surface rod) Only had 1 strike on downrigger but no luck Attached 1st photo bernie with his 95cm then me with my 70cm and a squid cut out of the 95cm king amazing... Had A Great day!!!!!!!

Great fish mate, I use the same plastic and have the same problem in that area (Clifton & Bradleys) its those damm tailor usually and believe it or not i caught a puffer the same size as the lure the other week.. I also had some good luck with that lure with whiting but its a hit with the flathead for sure...

Thats also a good idea a few of my baits have also gone missing.
