Very hard to concentrate @ work nice catch guys

piss myself reading your reports 2 funny...but im the same i cant concentrate 24hrs a day at the moment i could just be fishing everyday.

Raiders, Havent put up a post for a while so here goes... Had a great day on the water but shit house day with the kings. Started off at roseville @ 530 and headed over to the spit for a run with the squid... bagged 4 squid in 4 drifts.. they went quiet so went to balmoral to greet about 10 other boats chasing yakkas.. The water was pretty dirty with fresh water and the yakkas just werent interested in the jig so after 15 minutes i shot to my never fail yakka spot and bagged about 15 or so in as many minutes... So keen to get some livies in the water went to red marker x and dropped a live squid and a live yakka... things were quiet so decided to toss stick baits at the marker... My cuz yells im on and lands a rat 55cm without much of a fight... 1st king onboard i was pumped... things were very quiet so tried rose bay with no luck the colours with no luck (watched a chinaman keep 4 baby kings) then tried north head but the 2 metre swell washing machine was not my cup of tea... So 4 squid 15 yakkas 1 king and talking rubbish with my cuz and bro not a bad day.. They do say the worst day fishing is better than the best day working... Got home washed the boat and made myself salt & pepper squid boy it was good!! Ill be back out next sunday to fill my boat with kings!!! Marty

Raiders, after a fish on the weekend and my pfluger soft plastic rod got sat on and snapped (By the hairdressers on the houseboat) im after a new rod to pair up with my 2500 stradic. It will be used to fish plastics for bream flatties and kings if i can land them. I was happy with the pfluger but being 2 years old something new is always good my budget is about $200 any help would be appreciated Marty

Im going on a houseboat this weekend and will be the captain... so if anyone can give me a good location to pull up for the night and be able to fish for a jew it would be appreciated. Im heading towards cottage point area. Obviously the other members on the boat (8 Girls Hairdressers after chrissy party) have no idea of my intentions to fish..

Definately mate if you have the right jig it works without burley recently i bought a jig with chinese writing on the packaging (cant read chinese so cant tell you the brand) but boy the come up 3 - 4 at a time and i didnt need burley.. With other jig brands i needed 2 even bait the hooks... pm me if you want and ill give you the details

just by reading the reports the last few weeks they are here in large numbers i want to be out there now!!!

Left Roseville headed to pick up some livies which were jumping in the boat. As a bycatch we landed trevally small pinkies a pike and a whole stack of yellowtail... Started with a troll around north head with no luck. Then had a sea sick member so aftter a beach drop off we went to channel marker x. First cast with a bass assasin hookup we are on but with other lines in the water we managed a tangle and a lost fish... Any way i dropped a squid strip down with some glow bait and on the other rod a livie with glow bait 5 min or so later the squid strip goes off zzzzzzzzz sweet its my new king virgin overhead and i land a 65cm. I then sent down a livie waited about the same time and zzzzzzz off again but not for long it spat me... It was pretty funny later on we saw a few small kings circling a marker and they would not look at our baits live dead lure. but as soon as we decided to go my cuz threw his untouched yellowtail into the water and bang it got smashed. so we couldnt go i teased them near the boat with my squid strip and we sent another livies overbard. this time with a hook few seconds later he is on...... 30cm of fun!!!! Had a ball....

Sound like you had a bit of fun!!! just a quick one when you say the colours where are you refering 2 ive herd that a few times now is it the sow & pigs reef?
