Hi Raiders, Was just wondering if i was to catch yellowtail/slimies would it be okay to mix up with squid in my bait tank or should it be one or the other...

Was out yesterday for a day out with my girlfriend and managed to smuggle a bait rod and king rod onboard she wasn't 2 happy was supposed to be a swimming day / non fishing day... but couldnt resist...(she wont admit it but she loves fishing) I Managed a big squid im guessing about 1.5kgs+ caught just around from cobblers beach. i cut a few strips but no luck with the kings.. Even got a swim and some lunch in. Saw about 10 kings chasing a bait school when i was anchored at clifton gardens about 2ish 20 seconds of action then they were gone.. See you on the Water sat morning...

Hi mate try the kelp beds in front of cobblers beach (nudist beach) and right around that point heading towards clifton gardens

Hey mate, the only reason why i went to that marker was because i saw a known sydney harbour charter throwing live squid at the marker and flicking plastics. They also got smashed twice landed 1 undersize and got dusted on the other

On the water at 6am and head straight to my squid spots... Boy it was tough only managed 3 squid in 3 hours. Then decided to try the channel markers. I downrigged a live squid around the yellow marker with no luck, the wedding cake with no luck then went to the red marker just off clifton. I decided to get the downrigger up and just throw the squid out un-weighted. The squid was in the water for about a minute before i was on and i landed a 65cm king. We then tried for another hour or so at a few other markers and then back to seaforth but no more luck.
