Started trolling in 60 fathoms had 2 bites from small marlin in the next 2 hrs but no real hook up . Got to the fad lots of boats out so we stayed out wider and fished North had a fish come up close on the short corner had a couple of wacks then went for the short rigger and smashed it hard hook up 1 mile north of fad first run was 300m angry fish my mate was on strike on 24kg 20 min later fish at the boat tag in him a nice 80kg black marlin a couple of photos and let him go trolled a couple more hrs but went a bit quiet so packed up and went home Lots of boats out lots of fish caught or lost and good size dollies caught on the troll and heard a 24kg wahoo on the shelf were the water was 24.7 Time to get out and have a go boys Stickybeak https://vimeo.com/117062571https://vimeo.com/117062854 Stickybeak Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  6. Thanks for the nice replys My boys love there fishing nearly as much as me !! Papafish in the boat we go pumping on the north side of Pindmar Bay around the oyster racks and good spot for flatties South East side all sanctuary zone By land good spot is Salamander Bay in the east corner where the little park is . Same thing parts of Salamander Bay are sanctuary zones best to get a map of the fishing zones. Just going through my go pro footage of Mahi Mahi and marlin looks ok here's a little snip https://vimeo.com/116497902 Stickybeak Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. The night before me and my boys collected our live bait yabbies Saturday morning at 8.00 am we went to Fingal bay beach for the 5km park run. After the run went on the beach found a nice gutter up from surf life saving club on a rising high tide. The boys were fishing light gear 6pd mono with a small running ball sinker straight to a long shank hook size 4. Wasn't long before we had our first whiting and a good size one to start We had a good bite going on for a solid hr The little fella lost 3 in a row the fish were putting on a good fight and the waves were smashing on the bank being now high tide sometimes making it hard to drag the fish up the beach sometimes. But he ended up catching 2 fish and was so excited .Noah and Zane battled it out for the biggest and Noah got the last fish and the biggest 40cm bragging rights and beat dads pb by 4cm . Ran out of yabbies fished 9-11am Back home now work tomorrow Didn't do a lot of fishing because of weather but when we did found some quality fish got to love Port Stephens Stickybeak Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Well done Billy Nice fish for the new boat Looks like a strong boat good fishing platform It's good to see a lot of fishraider s Getting stuck into the marlin for 2015 Stickybeak Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Paddy I mostly mount the go pro on the dash but I found it only gets the back of the boat. Lately I have had it mounted on a pole for side shots and mainly underwater shots I use a timber broom stick pole I found this works better a lot of water pressures against the pole even when boat is just in gear Hope this helps Stickybeak Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Well done Paddy Looks like a nice size black I bet your still buzzing Hard work solo I agree Stickybeak Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Thanks guys The lure is my favourite- top gun - Apollo in pink and blue Had the fish at the boat and tagged in 20 min but was way too green to hold and took off again and went deep another 40 min later had him at the boat again. This is where you have everything ready next to you gloves I put one on for tracing and holding the fishes bill , pliers to get the hooks out , a knife ready just incase you have to cut the line , phone for photos and your go pro Have footage of the marlin and Mahi Mahi the other day on go pro But have to wait till iam back home for the footage upload didn't bring my computer away Good luck if you get out A little video from phone Stickybeak https://vimeo.com/116107014 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Fishing Port Stephens today Went solo no crew and Scratchie says he has a job now ? Weather was too good to pass up. Went to the carpark no swell 5-10 knots all day Only 3 other boats fishing there a little wider than me . Good current line running South through the carpark and a good temp break 21. 4 - 23. 2 No bait was found so pulled lures had 6 strikes on marlin black and stripes between 10 -12.30 All in the same area the last one stuck and 60 min later 100kg black marlin tagged on 24kg Very stubborn fish he was. , packed up at 1-30 left them biting headed for home at 24 knots Top day for fishing Good luck Stickybeak https://vimeo.com/116051729 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
