Hey mate good work on the fish. You do know the fish on the top in the pic is a watsons leaping bonito right? How did it taste? Any diff to normal bonito?

Shame about the fish mate. Jewfish feed anytime of day, as do most fish although they are more active during certain types of the day. I find Jewfish are more likely to be caught on the fast moving tide periods, such as withing the couple hours either side of high or low tide. I hope this helps in going back to catch the ones that got away

Hi Fisherboy, Congrats on so many fish ... must feel awesome. Mate i am by no means trying to put you down or cause a drama, but just to inform you the legal size limit of Kingfish has gone up from 60cm to 65cm as of a few yrs ago.. Just be mindful of this and keep fishing hard.. Cheers

OK OK I am going to re-open the most talked about rivalry in any anglers life... the battle between DAIWA and Shimano, who is better and why? I personally am a fan of DAIWA and believe the advancements in their gearing and components have come a very long way in the past few years and have left shimano behind. Dont get me wrong shimano make some great reels (stella) but i still feel DAIWA is just that one step ahead at all times in creating such powerful reels in such a finesse body. I would love to hear all your feedback. Cheers
