  1. Just change the trebles to single strong hooks.
  2. Use a 1/4 ounce jig head with a white squdgy fish (small) you should hook up almost with every cast when thrown at the school. I can understand the fastration with all the boat traffic, but with 40 boats and trying to navigate throught that alone and trying to pay respect to peaple hooked up to fish is hard enough as it is, I think we should have an easy going attitude to this, yelling at people only gets them fire'd up even more. I got busted off twice by 2 other boaties, all i said was can you please give us some room and we didnt have any trouble after that. Also i think there would be a lot of people who have not been in situation's like that, so they would do as they see. We didn't move around a lot the schools where busting everywhere, moving up and down the heads, at one stage thay came close to watts reef, but i noticed everytime they came close to a boat the school would dive and then bust up after the boat. Anyways i dont really post that much on here due to fact i dont have much to say or someone has beaten me to it, but i just wanted to add my 2c worth. Cheers and best fishing to u's all.
  3. Me and the missus have been there a couple times and been on a charter on half day trips but not much sucsess, id recomend a dingy hire, poternoster rig and some nice popers, you will find that there is a fair bit of current running in between one of the nearby islands, you'll know which one im talking about, give that a go for some queenie's and reefe's, also try the marina of some of the jetty's. you'll see a fair bit of queene's and good chance of a few small marlins zipping in and out at times. Hope it helps.
  4. I use the 4inc Gulp white (glow) stick.
  5. Any more info on the progress of the boat ramp Ive been away for some time.

    Braid Colour

Ive been told that hot pink is the colour to go with as fish dont see the colour red, Im not 100% on this but the guys at tackleworld think so. I use FINS dark green, ive moved away from yellow and have found that i get lot more bits a fish....seems to work well with Jewie's.
  7. Ive tried this technique and seems to work well but its a little fidly and more for boat than land based. For land based i just hook it throu the nose, seems to to work well, havent really much problems with the rig. Allthou i dont do landbased fishiing much other than plastics. Cheers hope it helps.
