  1. Just looked at seabreeze for the weekend in Newcastle and Sydney Surprised to see Newcastle had 40 - 45 knot winds and 5.5 mtre waves predicted for Sunday night Sydney not as bad but still rough Looks like a weekend at home coming up
  2. garlic paste from the supermarket on bits of chicken works a treat
  3. but they are worth it especially for those whjo have just started squiding this will improve your results by heaps tested it with brother i use egi brother doesnt i catch 14 brother catchs 2 next times it him using egi and i use nothing incase its the skill not the egi to make it a fare test i catch 4 brother catches 23 A.dawg~~~ never heard of it till now but it looks like its egi max for me too !!
  4. I used to throw them all back then out of desperation kept a couple because not much else to keep one day - was surprised they tasted pretty good for lunch But then again there was no alternative that day
  5. Dont know about those covers but just a few things that I do with mine It has lasted 4.5 years without real probs Got a little tear where aluminium frame of windscreen corners were sharp and the wind blowing had started an early hole - got it fixed by a cover guy reinforcing a strip that rubs on the windscreen edge with thick plastic stuff like bags are made of now also put small offcut squares of marine carpet over the sharp winscreen corners so it cant happen again to stop water building up on it I keep the boat sloping back by putting blocks under jockey wheel to get front higher - plus have an ice cream container on transom each side of engine well to let rain flow off without letting the transom edge become a pool wall, flows faster and is channelled so doesnt pool the pooling water or wind can make it rip so I just do these couple of things and it seems fine good luck

  12. As for what I'm hoping to hit, I really dont care as a bad days fishing is better than a good day mowing the bloody lawn. Thats the way to go, Good luck Bill
  13. Hey Steve now I'll be on the net for hours checking the raider site and now catching up on swift and shift When's lunch ??
  14. Havent used mine yet ( Ray's post = I need one) but played with it casting into the pool to see what it did The pauses the Iceman mentioned make it just hang in the water, then reeling or twitching it makes it dive a bit then comes back to its own depth Funny things a desperate fisho gets up to when he cant get out to have a fish anyway its as if I went out and didnt catch anything - just saved money on petrol
  15. yeah, thats why I only asked about fishing rather than catching, didnt want to put your on the spot I still think going out for a fish either on land or in a boat is a great way to unwind and forget about whatever headaches you may have If I catch something for dinner it is always a welcome bonus Good luck if you can get back there over summer, more pics and fish hopefully

  22. Thanks again to Donna, Swordie and all the facilitators - especially Andrew, GregL and Slinky It was a great day Had lots of fun, lots of tips and new techniques plus got to meet more raiders - all a great group of people. Special thanks to GoFish pete for last minute supplies - well done! Learning about plastics then having a go to see in reality what it is all about was a really helpful, even though it meant me bugging Andrew, Greg and Slinky even more about hands on stuff thanks again!!!!!
