Great day learnt heaps next time out need to go plastic only - no guts no glory !! We had Andrew heading our group - he was brilliant, lots of tips Thanks heaps Andrew and Greg and Slinky and GoFishPete and basically all the raiders It was good to see Raiders helping raiders Thanks again !!!

well put Slinky I suppose that is why the leader strength choice is important because the leader or knot will give way before the under-rated braid. Saves us money by not having to replace a heap of braid ?? or do they under-rate the leader too??

Great flattie interesting to see other homemade variations on a blade, could end up with Blade -2 on thew market BTW looking at your spool I think I have to unload mine and put more backing on it can I just unwind it onto an empty plastic line spool then reload ? ?? will that work or will the line be twisted or messed up somehow ?? tony

First one just doesnt look right cause I dont think you would see that much sun without the sky being lit up - so it looks good but the 2nd is more realistic

Hey Ray and Hutcho you guys have started a SX40 tsunami I had no idea about SX40s but after seeing this post and the posts about which colour to use I still dont know much about them but know that I HAVE TO GET SOME - just in case !!! They sound deadly - both on the fish and my wallet Look forward to updates on the tournament rounds 2,3... etc Will the plastics catch up?? Seriously I think it is great to find out about new stuff so you can mix it up a bit next outing if the fish seem quiet - try plastic - sx40 - bait - etc

I had the past 2 mornings off and checked the raider site A lot of posts being done in the mornings so either lots of other raiders had time off or were having "RAIDER Breaks" - just as important for mental health at work Hey can you claim fishing gear on your health fund cause if we didnt fish we would all get mentally pretty sick

Have either of you guys checked out the SARCA anchor I got sick of anchoring near bribges or other structure only to have to pull upm and move because the anchor kept slipping Got a SARCA and on sand, mud , gravel so far no problems even with wind and chop - doesnt slip. Havent used it on a reef yet SARCA website has heaps of pics plus video footage

OK you now have us all intiguided with what sort of creature it is sorry but I dont work near airport If desperate I think my sister in law works somewhere near botany if thats any help
