Wow, GREAT read. Thats close to home. I am only 24yrs of age but I have already seen the occasional westerly summer storm rip up outta nowhere when sitting out at cronulla. It can be completely calm and pristine and then outta nowhere the sky turns black and wind picks up to 40 odd knots..scary stuff even on the shore. hope i never experience that out at sea because they are hard to predict and they move extremely fast. On the ECL note, this is the prime time for them so I would expect at least one more to come this season. At least you know that they are coming though.

Squids from bundeena wharf, lili pili baths, groynes at kurnell, in the national park near the churchy place there is a little wharf and grass area but i forget its name(limited access after dark). yellow tails a bit more of a pain if ur shore based and u gotta berley up some but u could try any of the narrower sections where the current runs a bit more and it will carry ur burley further or a few of the bays. just a few thoughts form where i av caught em

its all we caught off the back of bombo last weekend. couldn't even get the bait to the bottom b4 it was picked off. catch em all the time locally (hacking) aswell. annual leathery sounds like fun, though they do taste gud so we will get a feed outta it aswell..
