  1. Thanks mate

I think the humble flatty is also used as a sushimi flesh as well. if ya know what I mean

Maybe one day I will take the time and try different types of the fishes cooked in different way's. I'm a real battered fish and chips guy.

Oh with a few :beersmile: of course.

  2. Good effort boy's ya right the little finger is at a very painful angle hahaha.

Also, huge effort on the bait gathering. Your mate has been spoilt having fresh Squid caught for him.

Love the 2.00am early starts this time of year.

  3. Yes the SP does it again. How many times have you looked at that lure and thought ....nahhh.

Well done, :yahoo: now go out and do what we all did and spend hundreds $$$$$$ :074:

Get some Pink ones, Red one's, Blue one's, Yellow one's, long one's, short one's, thin one's, fat one's.

Then get some spare one's just in case you run out.

  4. Top effort Steve, the social will be a downrigger-fest, I wouldn't want to be a Yakker or Squidie in Syd Harbour in Jan 2008 for all the tea in china.

 Great effort mate and hope the little Rooster's had a ball fishing with the old boy.

My downrigger is ready to go so look out King's we r comin.

Ah crap lets head inside and find some Tailor. Stopped off at Bare Island bommie for a quick drift and got smashed by something substantial and lost it after 8 minutes or so.

Hit Mol Point first fish of the day a 35cm Snapper that would have lived to tell the tale unfortunately it was deeply hooked and did not look healthy so Daniel kept him for supper

Fell to a bait of Chook gut in anniseed

went for a squirt around to find some surface action however none was seen so decided to call it a day.

Was a good day on the water and great to see my 2 eldest boy's are still able to fine tune the nagging. whining, irritating fighting that comes with being in close proximity to the brother that you just cant seem to get along with :1badmood:

    I do love them

Water temp throughout the bay approx 19.4. Up to 19.8 at one stage out the front off Cape Banks.

PS... A penny for my son's thoughts as he poses for the photo :074: you want to stick the camera where.

  6. We are getting older and the eyes arent as good as they used to be. I have found that when I have a bit of trouble focusing on my knots a black background helps so I place a black rag on my desk, it has a positive effect on being, better able, to focus.

Thought I would pass it on. Hope it helps :biggrin2:

  7. Good effort in the crappy conditions mate. Nice feed of Squid, & bacon and eggs?

I was under the impression that Squid shut down in periods of low pressure 1004 yesterday at one stage. Plus wind is also a factor and tends to put them off the bite

You proved em all wrong well done Marcel.
