  1. Great report Roberta, You have all the fun! awaiting your next report. fish till we drop. Cheer's Wayne
  2. With out reading 29 pages of the proposal, the course is very easy, cost the members of our fishing club $100 which went to marine rescue. It is a 4 hr course. 1 night reading and answering questions from the book of all the rules and other info and a week in between studying the book and the second night reviewing the book and doing the exam. You need an 80% pass rate and supply 2 passport photos for the licence piece of cake. If every boat user that has a radio and learns how to use it properly every other user may be able to communicate more easily. Cheers Wayne
  3. Yes it should have been every thing was supposed to be right but they did not run in 4 hrs we got 12 prawns o'well fresh bait every one we spoke to had the same result a bigfat zero. some said it was ok the night before with 2 to 3 kg caught. good luck Wayne
  4. No all will be eaten Curried prawns and rice for dinner just gone. fresh bread rolls and the boss's seafood sauce for the left overs for Sunday night. Any others will be Mondays lunch, i know life's tuff but some one has to do it. I mostly fish with SP so no need for bait, don't want smelly hands it may put me off my beer any way the one in my hand is so time for a refill. Cheer's Wayne
  5. Much fun was to be had at windang last night! Prawned in the river between the bridge and lake for 6.5kg good size tasty lake prawns.[attachmentid=47983 The tide does not turn until about 2hrs after the high and they did not run for another 3/4 of an hour and then it was on we were busier than a one armed wall paper hanger. The run finished about 12.45 we left and it was back to the shire and to bed about 4.30am now to clean the boat and eat the spoils Cheers Wayne.

  10. Hi Raiders, have been fishing the bay for ages and lately getting nothing as usual. A couple of weeks ago managed to break the duck and landed the only legal fish of the day it went 87 cm on the fisheries measuring sticker. There was indication of a hit just a solid weight when i lifted the rod i thought i was snagged until i felt a shake and it slowly moved a bit I thought it was ray at first it did not really struggle until it was near the boat and then it went for a short sprint after a couple of minutes it was in the net and a few pics on the phone it was back over the side to hopefully live for a few more years. Cheers wayne
