  8. G'day Phil, Yes mate fixed - purchased a new Wema fuel sender. If you have the same issue, make sure you get the right sender: With float at the bottom it should read 240 ohm and at the top 30 ohm, or With float at the bottom it should read 0 ohm and at the top 180 ohm. Here is the one I bought: http://www.wema.com/publish_files/S3_-_326000-326080.pdf . Fortunately it comes with the standard 5 hole configuration as the original. I purchased the wrong one to start with and when I connected it, it showed full when empty and empty when full Cheers, Cam
  9. Great result guys with only a few hours fishing Mount Coolangatta in the background .....looks like it was a sensational day. Cheers, Cam
  10. Congrats on a great little session christening the electric No doubt the results would have been quite different without it! Cheers, Cam
  11. G'day Geoff I can justify the chair ... the boat upgrade would be a strecth at the moment but at least I have a better idea of what the requirements of the next boat should be . Twin hulls are renown for ride and stability so would definitely be in the equation. Cheers Cam
  12. Thanks again for the soft rubber Gary It will no doubt allow me longer time on the water - in which case the may not be as grateful Cheers Cam
  13. Intersting to hear that there are plenty of boats there Hodgey. Weather must be accomodating? I just came back from a quick shore session on the Shoalhaven and there are bugger all boats around. The wind was up around 15 - 20 knots though with the occassional sprinkling . Catching anything in that sort of traffic is always going to be difficult, so well done on getting a couple. Cheers, Cam
  14. You wouldn't want to go there twice Great assortment of fish in beatiful conditions with potetially 4 FR records Congrats...... Cam
  15. Cracker jewie mate congrats Cheers, Cam
  16. I know the type you mean - my has something similar that wraps around her neck when travelling long distances. I might have to borrow it and give it a go! Thanks for your generous offer Gary - PM sent
  17. Thanks Austral - I do a fair bit of solo fishing. Thanks for the tips Whaler. Cheers Huey. I'll contact you soon. Standing is also painful - I try to bend my knees to act as a shock absorber, but it's all in the timing!
  18. Like many others, I have a dodgy back. I am currently on the recovery trail from a back operation – all good . I am looking to get back on the water soon. Hence I am seeking advice from those that may have a solution to minimise the jarring affect that a 4.5m tinny has on even the mildest of chop. My current solution is a cushion on top of the seat. See photo below. This provides marginal improvement. I know that there are others out there suffering the same issues and would be appreciative if you would share your inventive thoughts / ideas . An idea that I have is a shock absorber type fitting under the seat - does this already exist? Thanks, Cam PS..... For those of you with chronic back pain and interested in my operation I would be happy to share my positive experience.

  23. G’day Geoff, No brand name – just the logo that you can see on the photo. No part number either! I rang Telwater (boat manufacturer) whom said they don’t use them anymore. I need a replacement sender that is flat on the top (no protrusions) as the floor of the boat sits virtually on top of the sender. I have had a pretty good look around the web and am not able to find one like it. It hasn’t worked for about two months now. Fester, Thanks for your suggestions. Telwater said the ohm rating is 30 – 204? Could be the gauge …..but more likely the sender. The light still works on the gauge….? I think my biggest issue is getting a sender that will fit under the floor without having to do any other major modifications. Even this sort of sender will be affected by the floor sitting on top - http://www.wema.com/publish_files/S5_-_323100-323150.pdf
  24. Thanks mc fishin... that was my fear .. looks like I've a got a job to do tomorrow! Love it! mate if you like we can swap... no need to buy fuel with mine
