  2. yehh i have done alot of rock fishing but its just with the gear that i have mainly for smaller kings and samon, wats the price on one of those tiagras, if by some chance a marlin does swim by will u bring it in with the tld 30 or 50, or will you need the tiagra
  3. well LBG is what we intend on doing but sort of starting off slow mainly targeting kings and samon off various rocks, generally under a float my best mate has the tld 30 combo and we do occasionally balloon larger baits out, i would love to have 3 or for different combos like that for the rocks but atm i can only get one...
  4. hey fishraiders, im currently looking for a combo to mainly chase big fish off the rocks around NSW, i was originally thinking a tld 30 with a tcurve 15-24kg outfit but have currently taken a liking to the pioneer gt terror rod accompanied with a big spinner like the spheros i think 18000, was wondering if anyone would no any pros and cons in using either of these to styles off the rocks or simply which is better and what you use.. thanks guys i just dont wanna go spend all that money for nothing

  6. hey guys was thinking of giving the gladesville bridge a crack landbased, was just wondering where it is you actually fish, can you fish under the bridge or if there is another spot close by which you could recomend ive heaard of thames st wharf but not sure what would be the better option, the bigger fish the better anyways thanks guys

  9. i actually was fishing there yesturday,, and even though the swell was not big there is always the odd wave that will jump up on you, the 3 musts have to be never fish alone, rock shoes, and dont ever turn ur back on the sea

  11. i would go out on saturday to get the bait fresh the only problem is the our tailor spot and the beach we want to fish are in total opposite directions and we want to get to the beach before sunset and with work commitments its just abit difficult, thanks guys for the help... where abouts you heading out to on saturday night fisher doi
  12. hey fishraiders, me and a mate are going out friday night to catch some tailor, which will be used on saturday night off a beach for jewfish bait... i was just wondering what would be the best way to keep them fresh, so we can use them on saturday night either filleted, whole or butterflied thanks in advance for your help..

  15. this might sound like a stupid question, but say you hook a a decent sized marlin on say a 15 ft aluminium boat, how do u get it on board if you dont have that back door that opens up? thanks guys

Hi fishraiders me and some friends will be heading down towards south west rocks towards the end of november start of december, we have a boat that we would be confident taking fairly offshore (not to far) , however i was just wondering if anyone knows much about this area and what type of fish are caught at this time, the reason we decided to go was to chase some big fish but from what ive read end of november and start of december is right inbetween the runs of various fish, so if you could give me a few tips or even some spots you can PM me if you like i would be very appreciative thanks guys

  18. hi all, goin 2 spot x on the weekend for a night fish its shore based in the harbour, have a caught a samson fish there before was just wondering on some tips on how 2 specifically target them and if this time of year is any good for them.,.. thanks guys
