    mate lucky for me the reel wasn't mine I was looking to buy a new reel when I seen it on another site.I'm a shimano fan anyway but I was thinking of buying saltist but not anymore I will stick to shimano.

    I would have to say an 8000 stradic not as fast as the tss4 but not far of it.and a lot better reel.they are about$250. I still have my old tss4 it's like new but I don't use it anymore.

    I have 3 of them 2 pti20. and a pti30 had them for about 4 1/2 years and never had a problem with them I only had to upgrade the drags. I had some carbontex for a 6500 baitrunner and they went straight in. so I would say they are not a bad reel just a bit heavy.

    it's going to be very hard to swap it for 1500. the stradic ci4 only comes in a 1000. and 2500 size. even the FI stradic don't have 1500.

    I have the 18000f too I put carbontex drag washers in it and the stella handle.I run 80lbs line on it.

    138psi would seem high mine was only 125psi from new in 2005 so I dont know if he being truthfull or not
