  1. yea i just got kokoda bat,g vide and sprog from big w. picked them up for 5 bucks a piece. i found the same thing when passing them through the pool test, the sprog done whirlies in the waster and didnt really swim at all!!so will need some tuning
  2. nevermind the quintrex site is working for me now its got all i need to know
  3. howdy, just thought someone here would be able to give me a rough quote on quintrex explorer 395 trophy on trailer and a 25hp on the back fiited with a small basic tiller steer electric motor, a fish finder and a canopy. i know i am not being too persific hear, i am only in the early stages of purchasing a boat just a rough quote is all im looking, to the nearest grand. thanks in advance
  4. what a great place it has a huge waterway and so many places to explore endless amount of racks which is a good place to start. also try close to the weed beds that lay right up closes to the sandy shored islands. there are also alot of sandbars and drop offs on this waterway as mentioned above. a spot to try-if u put in at tuncurry boatramp and take the second chanel on your right follow a small set of racks on the right hand sideof the channel and then turn right at the end of the racks.you should find a bit of an ofcut where there are a few old boatshacks etc.it is lined with weed beds try the small deep patches for flathead and flounder on softies. high tide is usually best hope you have a great trip, post the photos when you get back cheers
  5. fishing sps at night is something i havent done alot of mainly due to inconvience. it is something i want to get into though what makesa good night plastic??? or does it not differ from daytime
  6. good work on getting ure first flatty on sps before u know it u wont be taking bait any on your fishing trips anymore
  7. i dont know about not catching any bait if it was me i would have filleted up that tailor and put a fillet of that on fresh cut taloir strips are a great bait that both jewfish and flathead are suckers for
  8. mmmmmmmm just lost my first reply here i go again i do not not recomend the lake for a weekend away. although when i fished the lake i was alot more inexperienced but all i managed to pick up was a lot of small bream and 1 or 2 small flathead though we did manage to hook one good one that spat the hook before we even had a look at it .so after to days wasted on the lake we decieded to lauch at forster well what a good decision that was that day we bagged 15 flathead to 80cm and and extras like small whiting bream and leather jacket. we used FRESH prawns that you are able to buy from the local tackle shop in forster. so theres my recomendation, although i fished the lake 2 years ago with bait it did not produce if i was you i would book the weekend at the tuncurry caravan park just my opinion
  9. the rrp is $29.95 for the softbook cover i believe . there is also a hard book cover not sure on the priCE? SO WHAT WOULD YOU GIVE THE BOOK OUT OF 10 HOT TUNA
