  1. Any reports from South West Rocks? We are heading up there in a couple of days.
  2. Hi all, We fished 8 miles east of Browns yesterday on a mark in 700 fathoms from the Remko charts for zeros. We came back to Browns at 4 pm and the wind calmed, the current had dropped and we had perfect conditions to finish the day - except for fish. The run back to Port Hacking on dark was great, the seas had dropped and we were back in the river inside an hour. Other commitments mean I won't fish again until 2nd week of July, I hope they are still around then. Bruce.
  3. Hi, According to Grants Guide to Fishes Longtom are supposed to be good eating. I got one 850mm long on a 3 inch Berkeley pumkin seed grub in St.Goerges Basin in January. I froze it for bait before reading Grant's so haven't got to test, but if I get another one I will. Bruce.
  4. Hi Ross, Thanks for the update. I can't wait to get out amongst them myself as soon as I can. We cleaned up on flathead in St. Georges Basin today on plastics. Bruce Rayment.
  5. Hi, My father lives at Sussex and the nippers he pumps in the Inlet and at Berrara Creek are plentiful but tiny. The best spot in the Inlet is on the flat downstream from the Alemein boat ranp. Bruce. Hi, All of the fish in the Basin at present seem to be in the shallow water around the edges. When the warmer currents arrive they will go back into the deeper water. Bruce.
  6. Hi Winnings, I suggest joining Port Hacking GFC or St. George sportfishing Club. I am a member of both. The next PHGFC meeting details can be found on their website www.phgfc.com. The St.George SFC meets on the 1st Thursday of each month from 7:30 pm at St.George Masonic Club, Roberts Avenue Mortdale. Bruce.
