  1. Hi guys, The bail roller on my spheros 14000FA has seized up and i need to open it up. I have tried to open it up, but unlike my other reels it seems to be held in place by a super strong clip or something. Does anyone have any tips? Thanks
  2. SW - Current stella series , i assume it stands for Salt Water? Fa - the previous series, the body of these reels are blue FD - the current series of smaller stellas 1000-4000 sizes PG - Power Gear , lower gear ratios HG - High gear , higher gear ratios XG - Extra High Gear
  3. I'll third the catalina , mine (4500) has caught to many kings, the biggest being 25kg. The reel hasn't missed a beat. Just change the standard drag washers over to carbontex and away you go. Match it with something like the saltiga 63S and you can jig/livebait & use lures no worries
  4. pretty sure its a cottonmouth trevally mate
  5. i think the roosters are the best, i think there best in the smallest size you can get
  6. If your having trouble with jackets, try up around middle harbour and you should be fine

    Interline Rods

A mate of mine uses one of the daiwa interlines (not sure of the exact model) , matched with a small accurate overhead. Loaded with 50lb braid, he says it has no trouble with smaller yellowfin (upto about 20kg) , they do load up very nicely aswell.
  9. Another vote for the Trinidad 40N here, sounds like it would suit you perfectly.
  10. On one of my heavier rods, the roller tip has seized up, ive only used it a couple of times aswell Any ideas how to get it rolling again? thanks
  11. The biggest i have heard of is about 30kg, the hardest part is stopping them.
  12. mate i have a stradic 8000 FI matched to a penn big game surf . The whole combo is very light and lets you spin all day, have not caught anything decent on it yet only kings upto 65cm but it handled them with no issues. I have 30lb fins on it and you can cast a mile , the rod costs under $100 probably one of the bet value rods on the market!
  13. Hey raiders Just to bring all your attention to the bullsh*t we are facing! we must do our part to save and stop this happening before its to late! Incase you have not seen the topic - http://fishraider.com.au/Invision/index.ph...36255&st=20
