My apologies for the confusion with the dates for those of you who have previously red this post. G'day to all Newcastle Raiders I will be in your area from the 10th till the 12th of September for a break with my soccer mates.I am hoping to hook up with a fellow raider the Saturday as the guy's are going to the races and I would wrather wet a line .We will be golfing the Friday when we get there and leaving Sunday so this only leaves me with Saturday the 11th.I will have no time limits and have no problem with fishing all day.Landbased is perfect as my sea legs get a bit wobbly with rough waters .I am fine with the average to low seas. Planning to bring my own gear but hopefully the raider I hook up with will be kind enough to loan me his.Will have no problem with covering any costs involved should I be so lucky as to get a spot on a boat. I tried at Balmoral warf and at the island and could not get any.They were just not around. We moved around a lot and only managed 2bream and 2trev's.Some usefull info by the way. Will give it a go when I manage to land a spot on the boat again.We launched at Tunks as well and did not do to badly with it being our first time.When we returned however it was busy but we just followed what everyone else was doing so we managed not to cause a seen. Thanks Jewgaffer I followed what you are saying until the part where I start monitoring and then it gets a bit complicated. It might sound a bit silly to you but I guess it is best to be honest as apose to trying to look clever and turn out looking like a bigger fool. I don't think I am at that level/understanding of fishing yet I think I need to stick to beginner basics if that makes any sense at all. I will try and put out something under a float with 3 paternoster setups with bait and a sinker to anker it. Will see how it goes. There is a slight change of plan with the day.It is now changed to Monday. Cheers Clem

Hey raiders me again I am going to give the harbour a go from Balmoral towards spit and further in. Will be launching at Tunks Park on Sunday about 6am. All I would love to do is get a good feed of bream and a tailor or two would be a bonus. Not even bothering with kingies as I am so use to NOT getting them anymore Please be as helpfull and specific as you can if possible. My plan off action is to get live bait and have it out under a float while TRYING to get a feed of some sort. Will be moving on and not wasting too much time on a spot. I am off to soccer now and will be checking the sight when I return later tonight. Cheers and thanks Clem

Hey there cut-loose. Check out my report on port macquarie I just put up. Plenty of baitfish at bottom end of the breakwall at the warf. It is fairly big so you can't miss it.Massive patch of lawn there as well. Did meet up with a guy about to give the channel a go for jews but I did not get back again to see how he went. Cheers Clem

Just returned and the news is NOT good.The usual happened while fishing and that is that I had a million throwbacks and 1 legal bream. I did find the co-op suggested to me but there were a trillion little dart fish and managed to get 9 baitfish.When I got back to the house my fishing buddy for the night jewfish session was in the "doghouse ""trouble " so that was my session down the drain. Overall fishing events: Thursday night session on the beach = 1 shark. Friday mid-afternoon session at Laurington = 1 big ray,small bream and snapper. Saturday afternoon session = baitfish.(trillion throwbacks remember? and failed jew session) Sunday afternoon at breakwall = 1 legal bream on crab. Did not manage a flick off noby's beach due to inexperienced fishos and 1 youngster tagging along. All in all an ok weekend of fishing and a relaxing time for the family including the missus. The breakwall has far too many snags in the middle so go to the end and fish slightly to your left away from the surfers.If you ask at the tackle shop or the locals "suicide rock" is suppose to be good but I did not get around to it.This is just to the left of the lighthouse. Thats about it for me. Cheers Clem

Sorry in advance because I know this is not the place to ask for info BUT I have tried the other 2 sections and got "NO HITS " I am going to Port Macquarie 2morrow early till Monday and would appreciate info on the fishing up there.Sorry again 4 wasting certain raiders time but I am hoping to get some feedback at least.Will be leaving early but will access the site while out there. Sorry Cutloose I leave to come back to Sydney on that day of the 5th. I mainly do rockfishing and my mate does beach fishing. I am planning to go crazy and get as many hours in as I can. Cheers anyway Clem
