mate it wasn't far off
a little bit dryer due to the hot smoking but the taste was the same
ive cooked up about 5-6kg of the stuff in the last few days and it goes down a treat
all i did was get 1/2 cup of salt and 1 cup of brown sugar and mix it all together then just rub it all over the fillets and then put them in the fridge for 2-3hrs
then just smoke them for 20min and your done
Think you got the last part mixed up mate
If it mentions imported first it means u r drinking rubbish juice
Ie made from imported and local produce = rubbish
Hi

EP-60 will only work on a NMEA 2000 network
if you boat does not have a NMEA 2000 network you will need to buy the starter network kit and create one
very easy to do and only costs around $60
i dont think you can connect up a 183 device and read data from a 2000 network
but as you said you can use the lowrance multifunction gauge like the LMF-200 which is a nmea 2000 device and this will work with the EP-60 but you will still need to have a NMEA 2000 network setup before they can talk to each other
its all very easy to setup and there is no mess of wires like what you would have if you have to wire up a 0183 network its all plug and play
last time i bottom bashed out that way we bagged out on ocean perch
got a few snapper and kings thrown into the mix too
i dont like to use bait tho gets boring ha
if u dont already have release clips i wouldn't bother buying them
just use some stiff 100+lb trace and tie this to the tail of your bomb and stick a big snap swivel on the other end
better then any clip and costs next to nothing to make
Size 12 rubber band
Bomb depends on conditioms and depths
10lb for deep water in strong current and 3-5lb for inshore
The scotty release clips are ok to use but stick the elastic band in the clip not the line and make sure the clip is set to it strongest setting
You want the band to break not the release clip to open
you can downrig any thing
replace your down rig clips with elastic bands and that will stop them pulling on with the pressure from the lure
replace the cable with braid this will allow you to put more line onto the downrigger and allow you to fish deeper baits
jew's suffer from barotrauma (the bends) pretty badly
pulling a jew up from +10mtrs is pretty much going to give the fish the bends
dont quote me on the precise depth but im pretty sure its around that
so in other words if you are after a jew for photos only dont go targeting them in the deeper waters
