  1. I always thought a bag limit was a bag limit regardless of where you were in NSW.

The NSW Government surrendered that area in 1915.

Booderee National Park = Commonwealth Territory

Jervis Bay National Park = NSW

  2. A second vote for Adventure Bound on TVS. I think my favourite episode was the one where the host was fishing for kingfish close in to the cliffs south of Sydney, and EVERY fish he hooked roared off like a freight train and busted him off, I don't think he ended up boating anything.

Sadly, the host in the earlier episodes (Neil) died in a skindiving accident. He was great - no nonsense, no silly catchphrases, just solid advice. Well worth checking out.

    That was a good show.

You can see some old clips of the show on Youtube.

  3. Its strange that dietary list doesnt even mention mulloway ?

It is strange, maybe they didn't have acces to any samples to test.

See the recommendations about eating Mullet from the Harbour, it's the fish that should be least eaten.

    Mulloway like to eat Mullet.

A Mulloway that's eaten a lot of Mullet over the years would have to dioxin / toxins in it's body.

  4. largescale grunter or striped trumpeter both have the same scientific name

    http://www.austmus.gov.au/fishes/fishfacts/fish/ttheraps.htm

Did you mean the Spiky Trumpeter instead of Striped Trumpeter?

The Largescale Grunter (Terapon theraps) has the same genus as the Spikey Trumpeter/Crescent Perch (Terapon jarbua) but they are two different species.

The Crescent Perch/Crescent Grunter/Spiky Trumpeter looks like it could be a good match too: http://www.austmus.gov.au/fishes/fishfacts/fish/tjarbua.htm

  5. Things went quiet for a while after the trevally, my mate caught this odd looking thing which looked like a whiting/flathead
