Bloo62
Hi guys, New to the scene and am wondering if anyone can help out with some info on how and where to catch live bait in the harbour and also in Pitwater. I have been shown how to get squid and have had some success, but would love to know where to go to get them. AS for yakkas, how and where? Any of you experienced fisho's help me out? cheers, Bloo
Flattieman
I can't help you out for spots, but for slimeys and yakkas, create a particle berley trail and feed out a small sabiki rig baited with small pieces of prawn, squid, fish, whatever. They should climb all over it. Flattieman.
Beach Fisho
Try near the eastern rocks in north harbour. Anchor in one of the small, calm areas, burley up, handlines with light line and a small splitshot, you should get a few yakkas.

mottyman
I can vouch for the Sabiki rigs. They're great and most times I don't spike them with anything. Just into the trail and give them a bit of jiggy jig and you should come up with a nice string of livies. If the Yakkas are fussy spray each of the little "flies" with a bit of ultrabite spray. Works a treat for me. Cheers David.
