Guest Dont Shoot Da Chinamen Posted June 15, 2006 Share Posted June 15, 2006 (edited) hey ppl I went out to botany 2 day and... got to the boat ramp at about 8am boat in water at 8:15 try to start the motor (manual start) and took me 10 minutes and it wouldn't start. than... found out that i had the motor switched to OFF. went to both runways with pillies and american wild caught squid and some assorted softies... no good went to molex point (chinamen can't spell) did the same. crapidi crap crap went to the oil thingo at kernell. nuthing out past the heads in 30meters of water drifting for hopefully anything... caught one lether jacket and..... had both heavy outfits get all tackle cut off above the swivel (bloody lether jackets) than... found out that i left the sinkers and 2/0+ hooks at home so... got the shits and went down to tom uglies bridge at about 2pm for anything i can get... too much current on run out tide so when back to boat ramp and called it a day pardon my language!!! i really want to myself! anyone want to second da chinamen?? caine Posted June 17, 2006 Share Posted June 17, 2006 hey mate if you didnt have a crap trip every now and again, when you do catch fish it wouldnt feel as sweet i never found botany any good in the colder months, unless you are after travaly in which case i would recommend the oil thingy, anchor up and crush pilies in your hand over the side and they will come from every where. use pillie fillets or peeled prawns and keep you bates a few feet from the bottom. they wont be that big but they go alright on light gear but if you dont come home with at least 10 ...then give up Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Jim like normal for his jew and me - well anything that swims!!! Have not been fishing or should I say made a fishing post for ages, and I am starting to doubt my ability to land fish.....
