Here my shot at todays report
Hit the water at about 1pm , beautiful conditions , dont think you could of asked for any better!
First was troll from where we put the boat , pretty much the container wharfs there at la perouse , trolled all the way to the heads with nothing.
We stopped there for a bit of a fish only to get attacked by hundreds of leather jackets , many were landed and a few lines biten off , but thats leatheries for ya.
Next we headed down to kurnell just off the oil wharf i think it is , about 3pm now , anchored up here , alot of boats around. Saw many of the surrounding boats landing tiny snapper and bream , Our first catch was a lil snapper , back he went into the drink! Now the next bite BANG was definatly something alot better than what was about , a yellowtail measuring 45cm , followed by a few yakkies!
Fished here for about an hour ,
Then over to mol point where we didnt have much luck, a few snapper just undersize , the sun was just about gone , so we jetted off down the the runaway anchored up here.
Ready for a lil night fish(first time fishing night in boat)
3 rods out , 2 with pillies and 1 with prawn .
outfit with prawn(6lb line) got a nice hit and run first , massive weight didnt last long and we were busted off , called for a PJ shark!
Next landed was a PJ shark , just a baby measuring 41cm
This was then followed by 4 more PJs hooked and brought to the boatsides over the next 2.5 hrs.
Dont know if it was the same Port Jackson time and time again but he was about 4ft long maybe a lil more.
Then we called it a night , fishing catching these sharks was great fun as with the light gear made for a interesting evening
Thats it guys , enjoy
