tuffy
Hey all - am thinking of buying a hand held GPS. Have checked out the options and Garmin and Lowrance seem to be the best value. Can any body out there shed any further light on this - maybe someone has an idea which of these is the most user friendly or which one NOT to go for. Any feedback will be appreciated. tuffy
Thanks guys, that's a great help. The Garmin's, are they the ones that are being advertised thru Whitworths for about $170? Good value if that's the case. I need to look forward to my next commission cheque providing the missus doesn't find out about it.
netic
Tuffy, very important you get the Gps72, the etrex models are very hard to use, the Garmin72 is the user friendly one.

Netic, thanks mate, you're right. I went to Whitworths to check em out yesterday and had a good yarn with the young bloke down there - very knowledgeable - I think the xtra money is worth it for the 72 and they're only about $80 more than the Etrex, so easy decision. Thanks again, guys.
