Mainbar (bundenna)

I am going for a fish 2morrow morning down at mainbar on the sand and was wondering where abouts is the best spots to fish in the chnel over the chnel at the end where pleaese need help and i kno there plenty of flathead but has the whiting strted there yet?

G'day mate, go to the eastern side of the channel and walk out on the little finger of sand that gets created as the tide rises over the flats and drift your nippers down the current!

where abouts u tlkn bout the eastern side from where u enter where all the shops are if its there u can cross the water nd get to the other end

yeah, if you walk out the the end of the flat to where it meets the water from the shops, head east along the shore and cross the little chanel that runs into the basin.

hey thanks alot went today 3am and came bak 11 for zilch not even bite nd went where u said had nippers live worms prwns eeverything nutn but om the waybkgo to port hackn river tried bit and caught heaps of big tailor and even bigger trevs

that's fishing buddy, i've cleaned up on big bream and whiting in my spot mentioned. If you didn't like it, there's a pretty good chance you were in the wrong spot or fishing it wrong or both, this is why i'm hesitant to give out advice to people i don't know.

Ive fished the spot gibbofisho advised and done alright so the advice was sound.

cheers fellas, i knew i wasnt imagining things! I've fished that area quite a bit, it can be desolate at times, but if you use the right tech at the right tide, its quite productive.

I have to say I have never really had any luck in that part of the world. But I think I am just going to the wrong spots :-(
