TOP WEEKEND, TOP PEOPLE, TOP LOCATION, TOP EXPERIENCE.

Got to the social Friday evening in time for dinner, settled in and met a few Raiders within minutes of our arrival - special thanks to ROSS, DONNA and STEWY for making my family feel so welcome. Extra special thanks to Ross (aka Flight Manager) for a wonderful evening sharing life and many beverages with other easy going raiders ie. The Stumpies and The RZep's!

Got up a little later than expected with a slightly sore head but all geared to enjoy a bacon and egg roll then hit the water. I've put together a few photos which basically tell the story of this great social weekend. I do have some good pics of other Raider's fishing success stories but I'll leave that for them to post.

In total my family caught over the weekend:

6 Bream (1 almost legal 24cm)

5 Flatties (1 legal 37.5cm & others just under sized)

1 Blue Swimmer Crab

All the kids were thrilled to receive a generous special show bag donated by Watto's and Stumpy. A big THANK YOU from my three sons. We all enjoyed the Casting Comp - will definitely get them to practice that for next time.

Full on action at Budgie Woi Saturday arvo/night with all raiders heading to the beach - must take the beach rods next time and also plan a special trip there soon.

Going a little stir-crazy?

Finally - thanks for such a great weekend Fishraider - it was great therapy!

Had to reduce the pics to extra small to be able to post.

CHEERS MARG, STEVE, NICK, BEN & RILEY

Lovely to meet you and your family

Cheers mrsswordfisherman

Thanks Mrsswordfisherman (aka Donna) - I find it hard to cut down on my pics, so by making a collage I get to display more. Look forward to catching up with more Raiders hopefully at the next workshop, as we got our fishfinder working over the weekend but need to learn more about it.

Paul

I mean WEEEEEEEEE , I think, Peita, Paul, Offtap, Di and Watto were making all the noise. I was trying to control you all, and telling you all to be quiet every 2 mins. and Paul, playing those games, Knock and Run, its just not on, people were trying to sleep :074::074::074:

Yeah guys, we definitely recommend attending a fishraider social - the people who own it, run it, belong to it and attend these events are wonderful. I'm positive no one felt out of place and it was great to put a face to the raider names. I think that's the beauty of this website, you don't have to be a pro fisher, as all posts cater for a variety of fishing styles and talents - the one thing we no doubt have in common is the eagerness to fish. What a great way for us to all learn and socialise at the same time. It was wonderful to see such encouragement that Raiders gave to the kids - they were all geared up for the weekend fishing challenge and thrilled with their fantastic show bag of fishing goodies. My kids definitely learnt a lot and are keen to head to the beach for some beach fishing.

The Fishraider team were so generous providing a hot breaky each morning - it was just such a generous and enlightening weekend.

WELL ORGANISED FLIGHTMANAGER! Thank you.

Hi Ross - Dido re: pleasure to meet you. As for the next one, the venue was great as it wasn't far from Sydney, was right on the water and that BBQ area was ideal. Well done.

Look forward to reading your future posts.

Nice meeting you as well Roberta - it's so good that the names on FR now have identities.

RE: Pics - have you tried to resize by right clicking on the photo, select a size then select the reduced photo to add to the post. Just select the first size at it's the best for viewing - in this post I selected the last size as I had lots of photos to add, however, they came out extremely small and hard to view. Hope this helps.

Hope to catch up again - unfortunately we have something on for the Forster weekend - but maybe at a workshop or future social.

Cheers Marg
