Ross Hunter
BILLFISHER and BROADBILL worked hard to catch tuna and that included staying out until just on dark on the cubes without so much as a bite. Having just looked at the latest thermocline it looks good and on the leading edge of it should be a few yellowfin It may take a week to get here and that is if it doesn't disperse first. It's like the Jimmy Buffet Song "There"s fins to the left ....Fins to the right and your the only bait in town" The fish have been 60 mile to the south and 60 mile to the north and whilst there were a few caught over the month they really have been scarce in our backyard...those who got lucky including Billfisher a few weeks ago were probably Johnny on the spot. The birdlife is wrong at present and without the right birds the tuna will always be scarce Hang in there 'cause they will be here soon. Mybe tomorrow, next week or the week after. We have some good Hints on How To catch Yellowfin on our web site www.gamefishingcharters.com.au for those interested It is free and there are some beaut photos as well. Trust you enjoy Ross

domza
could those huge sea's be a result of the king tides coming up?
TheDiko
Looks like it's the result of near 30 knot Southerly winds to me IFS
netic
Looks like it's the result of near 30 knot Southerly winds to me IFS Mate swell and wind are 2 diferent things......swell is cause by low pressur esystems...the wind we are expecting will turn that swell into waves but swell can still be at 5 metres without any wind..... Definitely, but in this case as soon as that southerly buster hits, the swell goes apesh*t.
