frankp
just been searching around for a website that is free and can give sea surface temperatures or do all these websites require payment for this information.
TheDiko
Yes you do have to pay for the proper sea surface temperature charts. I havn't heard a bad report about these sites and everyone says they are well worth the money as you can find the temperature breaks and cube for Yellowfin in the right areas. I personally don't have a subscription but when I get my own boat I reckon I'll give it a go. These two which give you a basic idea of what temp the water is. http://www.mhl.nsw.gov.au/data/csiroday.htmlx http://www.bom.gov.au/cgi-bin/nmoc/latest_...IDCODE=IDY00003 IFS Edited June 7, 2007 by IFishSick

Nathan L
hey frank, the one the red herrring gave ya is bout the best one that's free. the main subscription service is this one http://www.seasurface.com/ its pretty neat. and u can check out old data to get a feel for how the whole thing works. it is pricey, but i think if ur part of a club its cheaper. nonetheless, it'll save u a heap of time trolling around for the right spot to cube, and thats always a bonus
netic
Mate seasurface.com.au is the best for accurate sea temp info, the free ones dont give you any idea of where the temp breaks may lie. Seasurface gives you direct co-ordinates of the temp breaks, but as mentioned it is pricey, but thats to be expected as anything involving gamefishing is pricey, having access to a site like seasurface is just another tool like a Tiagra.......difinately worth the investment and it will allow you to go straight to the temp break rahter then searching for it for 2 hours out on the water
