johnno
Last year i bought this Boat and have used it a bit , Well i needed to use it so i could work out what was wrong and yes i found things like we all say need more space . idea As the carpet was worn i decided to add underfloor storage to the quinnie i then worked out where my best spots where and started cutting. not whilst it was still in the boat. it went pretty smooth in the carpeting but uses meterage of carpet but struck a little issue. As the fuel tank is held in with 3mm 50mm wide brackets. The lids of the floor would not sit flat, so plan B was to use t bar aluminium and trim the holes which makes the lids/flaps sit flush lots of cutting later and a hugh amount of carpet the boat is nearly finished just need to do the side panels and the far front. Also made a few mods to the live bait tank as i was not happy with it, and have found a esky to fit the carpeted box. So for days i go out and don,t need a livie tank i can use the esky here are some pics

johnno
Do you have any of the framework Johnno and the bait tank/rod box down the back Chris sorry chris i missed this reply I put the rod holders in first and then got some sponge and filled the rod hole,So when i contacted it all i would not have contact down in the hole once. sprayed pulled sponge out and layed carpet then cut the holes out. i done this just for a different look also to help protect the reels once in there. achjimmy
Made myself but bought carpet rod holders tub etc Johnno Nice work. I have the 5m bow rider which has a similar hull. I pulled the floor out after purchasing to give the bilge a good clean (15+ sinkers, 3 old batteries & 500 mosquitoes!) I also used t-bar between the floors to support it. The fuel tank mounts are a bit ordinary the way they bulge the floor up. What surprised me was how little floatation was under there (none in last section, none either side of tank) compared to my old bay hunter which was jammed full. Did yours have more floatation than in the photos?
johnno
mine had not much, but now . i have lost about 10% in total as i just re installed into other holes. I have a few spare bits that you can have if you wish to put in yours.

pelican
just bought the tub from a plastics storage supplier but the top is all custom built to suit (corian) Thanks Johnno. Mate tou should go into production as you have put a bit of thought into that. Only way i could afford to do it in corrian is if I worked at the factory?? Thanks for the reply
