nitefr8 Posted July 15, 2007 Posted July 15, 2007 HI guys managed a few days of from work and chance to see the the retired parents up here at Yamba . The fishing has been a bit slow quantity wise but the quality is as usual vintage , Two real nice fish that i got 1 yesterday and 1 today both in the 80cm bracket both on a boodworm wriggler on procaster 701 and sahara 1500 , 4lb fins braid and and 6lb vanish trace made for an interseting fight
TheDiko Posted July 15, 2007 Posted July 15, 2007 Sounds great mate (that's good assonance) I'm yet to try out the 4lb fins on a fish but it feels absolutely awsome and should provide plenty of fun on Bonito and Frigates, an 80cm Flattie would be superb IFS
nitefr8 Posted July 17, 2007 Author Posted July 17, 2007 dam 6lb leader is a bit light on for flatties! yes i know , but the water up here is crystal at the present and anything any heavier just dosent produce results , makes for some interesting fishing , i have to leave in the morning so for the 6 days managed 48 lizards 4 bream [they sem to have gone straight up the river to the broadwater and beyond ] all the flatties came from the lake just above the oyster channell bridge and were either under 30 or over 55 the 2 biggest went 80 plus im trying to download the pics , all in all not to bad for this time of year
