amkulic Posted July 30, 2007 Posted July 30, 2007 Hi, I have an 8ft aluminium boat which I got for just $220 but it has a small hole in it about the size of a finger nail. Ive tried just about everything to fix it, including aluminoium rods with a blow torch. I think I will get it professionally done now....does anyone know how muchh it should cost for a welder? or any locations on the north shore?? Thanks for any info or advice

Davemmm Posted July 30, 2007 Posted July 30, 2007 Mate of mine had a hole similar size and simply used two inches of that heavy tape they use in waterproofing. I think it has a base of tar of some sort and you heat it up. He then just painted over it cost him nothing. My grandfather has a small hole in his tinney that he filled with mastick and that has lasted over a year now. Dave
