Piss'n'Broke
Hey all Greg just informed me of his 1st rat in over 2 weeks. Measured up at 61cm and went back in to fight another day . He got it this morning right up mid-harb near roosevelt bridge! Forgive the spelling plse! He got it on a small cuttle, whilst targetting jews Hopefully this is the 1st of a very good kingy season and a indicator that the water temp is on the rise. In the last 2 weeks we have seen the temp of mid-harb rise a degree but could be due to this wacko weather,,, Sorry no pics to post Dan Edited September 11, 2007 by Dan and Greg
sanger
Nice one!!!! Hope they come back on the chew soon!!!! There is a big swirl of warm water on the way down the coast at the moment.... should be here in a week or so, not that it will probably have much effect on middle harbour but fingers crossed!!!!! Kiwi Dan
Nice work Greg, I headed up there this arvo, must have just missed you. Was to windy to anchor so i just cruised around looking for holes on the sounder to fish another day which was a success. BRING ON THE KINGS!! netic
Thx for the update... MH will fire now and fish very well up until december.....it always fires well before the main harbour does..... over the next 2 months the MH wrecks will hold some big kings, most of middle harbours hoodlums are caught between September and November......... Hopefully we will see heaps of nice kings over the coming weeks from that area

Cant wait to land and see one of these brutes ,,,,only a matter of time! Of which we have heaps! D&G

zen801
Yeah bring it on! I live a couple of minutes from Roseville ramp and intend on giving the tinnie a good work out chasing MH kingies this season. I have a 3.75m quintrex Dart with a 20HP. Seats and floor with plenty of rod holders. I am gonna put in a basic fishfinder shortly. This little tinnie moves along pretty good for its size. Trailer is getting fixed up tomorrow and the freezer has some freshly caught and snapped squid. I am gonna concentrate for them during the week days this year as it seems over the last two years that my local MH spots are getting pretty crowded on the weekends. Any other local week day kingie fanatic who is boatless and can tolerate me smoking should give us a PM. I will be back on the water from next week. Hope to see Dan and Greg on the water this season. I am sure ive seen your boat around. Cheers
