Hi guys

Decision was made a few nights back that we would go out saturday (today) and have a troll around.

After hearing reports of wahoo, yft and mackerel hopes were pretty high.

Unable to get a full crew of 4 it was just me and dad.

Dropped the boat in the water at 6.30 started our troll about 5 miles off the seaway heading to one of the reefs on the 36 fathom line SE of the seaway arrived at the 24 fathom line to find a few boats including charter boats fishing in the one small area a quick troll around revealed nothing so we sounded around for some bait...found a awsum school with lots of fish round the outside of the sounder.....down go the jigs jigged for about 15-20 mins but the current was at about 2 knots so it was hard 2 stay on the spot for a decent ammount of time.

Out with the skirts and divers again and we decided to head north between the 24 and 36 fathom lines.

Got directly off the seaway about 15 mile out and ZZZZZZZZZ were on jump n the rod to find the fish had spat the hook ohh well marked it on the plotter and decided to do a big circle around the area ZZZZZZZZ off goes another rod just mins after the first get a small mack tuna to the boat...into the esky he goes.

Decided this seemed a good spot so started to do our cirlce work again and ZZZZZZZZZZZ dad hooks up and fights a small yft of about 10kg to the side of the boat but unfortunatly hooks pull and fish gets away.

The first hookup happend about about 10am fished till 11.30 in that area landing 2 mack tuna, 2 striped tuna and dropping 4 other fish.

Dad hooked a screema at the end of the session peeling about 150meters of line off in only a few seconds but once again LOST IT

Water was between 24degs and25degs.

Great 2nd session out off the goldcoast....learnt a few things... will see how we go next time.

I will post a few picks up later on.

cheers james
