Batemans / Durras October 17-19

Hi Gents (& Ladies)

Heading down to Durras for a weekend in October.

Will be fishing out of a 5.5m Stejcraft with Brother & Father In law.

Can anyone offer any advise of what areas to fish and techniques?

Which Boat ramps to use etc......

A lot of the areas around Batemans Bay are now marine parks. Check to know their locations before proceding down there. It may save you some time.

An excellent ramp is located beside the coastal patrol.

What is the BAR like there?

Where are you staying? The Lakesea Caravan Park has direct access to the lake with a ramp. I will be down there the weekend before with a bunch of yakking buddies.

Hodgey would be the one to talk to about Batemans - but he normally fishes the estuary, not outside!

a fellow member and friend azzap snared a beaut red on a sp there last year just out from the headlands on a gravel patch.

there are also kings to be found on the reefs out there and around the headlands. should also be some big sambos around too.
