mrmoshe
Man five times over the limit, say police NORTHERN Beaches police have arrested a man who was allegedly five times over the legal limit, after he allegedly crashed while towing a boat. The 55-year-old man was allegedly towing the boat with his Nissan sedan out of Garigal National Park just after lunchtime on Monday. Members of the public told police the man was towing the boat out of the Davidson picnic area, on Middle Harbour, when he allegedly collided with a pole, causing the bumper bar and number plate to fall off the car. Police will allege the man continued driving. Members of the public contacted police and officers stopped the man in Ferguson St at Forestville. The man was breath tested and allegedly returned a positive reading. He was taken to Frenchs Forest Police station where he allegedly returned a blood alcohol reading of 0.265 - more than five times the legal limit. Research has revealed unless a person has developed a high tolerance for alcohol, a reading of 0.20 is a very serious intoxication, while 0.40 could result in fatal alcohol poisoning. The man’s licence was suspended and he was charged with high-range drink driving. He is due to appear in Manly Local Court later this month. pelican
At least he was caught and good on whoever phoned the police rather than just turning a blind eye. At least going up the hill it would have been slow speed but he was probably about to do the U-turn to head down the hill and back over the bridge at 100KM/h which could have been a disaster waiting to happen. To make it worse he was on the water only a short while before. Hope he was on his own

Dreamtime
To make it worse he was on the water only a short while before. Hope he was on his own Some people have no idea do they? Hopefully someone else was at the helm! How could you possibly;- Drive the boat? Reverse the trailer? Retrieve the boat? Wind up the winch? Connect the safety hook / shackle? There must have been someone else with him - they are the knob He is just a dickhead!!!!! At least he will be answerable to the law!! Thank god that other boaties didn't cross his path that day.
