Recommended Posts

was on the water today in the morning at kurnell with a friend on the viking tempo 2

using lures and yabbies

it was only about 9am they stopped biting

then i saw boiling and i thought it was salmon

there must of been a school of them

threw some bass minnows and landed 4 trevally but i didn't see any baitfish or anything

they moved from the HWO and around the wharf

what could the fish be feeding on?

caught about 22 trevally and 1 bream

really good fun on light gear, most of them were 35-45

mainly 40's

Hi the best way to catch the salmon is to have a 10 gram gillies all silver with white glitter. You will hook up every throw. The salmon are all over the 3kg mark so use nothing less than 15lb line. I lost 4 lures the other day on 12 lb line and could stop them. That's my tip!!! :thumbup::thumbup:

CJ !

Well done on a nice catch of trevs. They are all a decent size as well.

Were they lured or baited ?

The water in the bay is 20 degrees ATM so it might be worth venturing into the 'summer' spots to see if the fish have started biting there...
