smashed crab
hey everyone, went out sat arvo for a late run to chase some reds and kings there was a bit of wind so the sea anchor went out and so did my new toy a samaki zecton plastics rod and third cast into the drift something grabs my plastic on the drop and peels line off and there was alot of weight behind it , i thought i had a big red but it felt a bit different then i could see a big yellow tail near the bottom(fishing in 8m) finally worked him to the surface knowing he could dust me at any moment my mate wazza got the net and managed to get it half in and lifted it onboard i was stoked 1m+king in the shallows on the new rodand then things slowed a bit just a few rats and didnt sound much bait up but just on dark missed a few snapper bites but then managed a 48cm one to finish the day.....luke Edited November 16, 2009 by smashed crab
