Wobbler
Hi, Has anyone ever fished in the Launceston area of Tassie. I'm spending a few days there and wondering if it's worth taking some gear down. I dont have any fly tackle but do have bream/flattie etc gear. Any advice with be great. Blood Knot
Hi wobbler, have never fished the Tamar (Launceston) but believe you can pull flatties, Taylor and maybe some Australian Salmon out of there. Have only fished a couple of spots on the East Coast of Tassie. If you get the opportunity try to get over towards Ansons Bay, some big Bream live around there. Cheers Blood Knot

slinkymalinky
Hey Wobbler, Take stream trout fishing gear. There are about a zillion small rivers and creeks in the areas surrounding Launceston where you'll find good stocks of Mr Speckles. Cheers, Slinky
